Lately, I have found myself taking my blackberry in the bathroom with me and reading CNN.com while on the can. This got me wondering what other people read while they are sitting on the throne.
I focus very strongly on patterns in the tiles and rugs, thinking in a rather crackheaded sort of way that this one looks like a face, and that one like a broccoli head.
Nintendo DS and a stack of Comics. I'm not proud, but I once sat there for 45 minutes, just to finish the first book of the collected "Walking Dead" comic. my ass felt like it was getting sucked into the water, and my legs were cramped, but it was worthit as that was the best damn read I have had in a loooooong time.
I seriously thought i was the only one.... "is that a demon in my door.... that whorl looks like jesus" ......."FUCK thats a huge spider"
First I check my e-mail on my cellphone, including reading any thread updates in the sightings thread for massachusetts. Then after that I go and read the oddly enough catagory of yahoo news. Speaking of Oddly Enough, I often find that when I get home any good stories from Oddly Enough tend to get a thread here, before I can get to the comp and start one myself.
If I don't have a book in there, then back issues of National Geographic and Smithsonian from my dad, or mail-order catalogs I get in the mail.
I actually grab a TF to fiddle with. I try to mix it up and grab a new one every time. Anybody wanna buy some slightly used TFs?
Nothing. I rarely spend more than a minute or two in there, unless I'm showering. Showering's not exactly good for books, magazines, or electronics, unfortunately. Heh heh. Boardwise hates to poop.
I just want to add, I am hoping to soon get a house, with the girlfriend, and have the bathroom contain a magazine rack, which will house motor trend, car and driver, road and track, Scientific America, Discovery, and popular mechanics. The GF said no, but I don't recall giving her a vote in the matter on the matter.
Anything I can get my mitts on. Usually whatever book or magazine I'm reading at the time, but if I'm really desperate I will read the toothpaste tube and the shampoo bottle.
Playboy. C'mon, someone had to say it. It actually has some good articles. But seriously, I usually grab my DS or a book I'm reading.
