Transformers Armada was one of the first Transformers series I started watching (RID was the first overall for me). Though its far from perfect, I still like to watch it. I just bought the complete series of it and was watching it earlier. I realized how glad I am to finally have it because it does mean alot to me. It helped me become a big fan of Transformers. It has some good qualities. Starscream is done very well. I really like Sideways and Wheeljack too. The Unicron Battles story arc was actually pretty good. I think the good outways the bad. So, I give it a 7/10. What do you rate it?
Out of all the TF shows I've seen this one is my least liked. The damned kids and the pokemon ripoff plot made me cringe. I hate Hotshot also...
I voted 5, which, hey, is a passing grade. It's flawed but fun, and it improves over the course of the season. I really enjoyed it week to week during it's original CN run, and that's what is most important. Thanks to this show, I have a soft spot for the Armada Hot Shot toy, even though it's one of the worst ever produced and looks like it was designed by Playschool, not Hasbro. Like others, I really enjoyed Starscream and Sideways, so the temptation to rate Armada higher is there... But I have to leave room to express the gap that exists between Armada and stuff like Beast Wars and Animated. Beast Wars isn't just one point better than Armada. It isn't two points better. I'd say it's at least 4 points better, so I had to leave room on the scale for that. '5' was the highest I could go while taking into account the other series in the franchise.
I have yet to watch this one. I have a malaysian bootleg box of it. Seen like 5-6 episodes, didn't like it that far but I have heard it gets better.
I enjoyed a lot of what Armada had to offer, specifically the second half of the season. It receives a 7 ranking from me, which in all honestly is very low among my personal rankings of Transformers fiction.
I'll give it a five, sort of want to go to a 6 but can't make myself. It's got some genuine good ideas and deserving characters in there - it's take on Starscream is a great, unique spin on the character and Sideways is one of its real breakout characters - but they don't quite give it enough oomph to overcome shockingly bad animation, woeful-to-meandering pace, and an ongoing plot with so many holes they had to have someone write a comic to fill them all. And that's without even grading based on the not-ready-for-broadcast dub.
Yeah, that game was amazing and still holds up, imo. When people say WFC is the best TF game ever made, I say, WAIT. Don't forget the Atari/Melbourne House PS2 Armada game. I think that game is still the best ever made. It's got more variety, better gameplay (imo), and some actual exploration, versus WFC's completely linear nature. I was really hoping Melbourne House would be given the go ahead to develop a follow-up game to it.
It gets a 7. Pretty awful at the start, but it got better as it progressed, even though the dub is pretty bad in terms of writing. It's the only part of the Unicron Trilogy I can tolerate.
I give it a 7. It definitely could've been a lot better (and frankly, the awful Polish dub only dragged it down), but in the end it wasn't that bad.
I thought it was pretty bad. I only watched it to support the brand...I would love to get that time back
i liked the armada cartoon. even though it was obviously poorly animated. it was just the toys which had way too many gimmicks
I'd give it 6. The animation is okay at times, it gets much better during the final 12 or so episodes, Garry Chalk, David Kaye and Scott McNeil are great in it and it had a pretty good Starscream in it as well. However, the first 30 or so episodes move at a snail's pace, I couldn't care less for the mini-cons, there are a lot of animation and continuity errors that are some how less enjoyable than G1's errors, voice acting isn't the problem, its a poor script that was the problem, and than finally, the thing that would have made Armada more enjoyable if they weren't in it, AT ALL: The worst, most annoying, most unlikeable humans, EVER! I found Armada to be mostly Meh. However I was satisfied when I finished it, it had a good ending.
