Hi! I was just curious what other collectors do with their transformers figures.
I put them in boxes. Hoarding them for posterity.
Sometimes I pull them out for my nephews (8, 6 and 4 years old) and become BEST UNCLE EVER!!
I play with them and display them as well. Come on, I can't just let them stand on my shelves, collecting dust and possibly degrade.
Combo. I display (hoping to create dioramas in the future) but I have most of my legends MOSC and tacked to the wall ala hot wheels style.
Well, some of my toys get both play and display. "Play" in the sense that I pose them, and for toys that can transform, do that. I also enjoy occasional toy photography.
Open, transform, pose, display. Some of the time.
Usually Hasbro releases get displayed until I find their Takara counterparts, then they go to the garage as custom fodder. And every now and then I may bring the figure around with me to fiddle with.
Some toys I buy specifically for customizing, so they just get opened and taken to the garage.
I'm 37 years old so they get put on display.
I do this, I got some Megabloks Spartans to fight them!
We just recently obtained large plastic display cases for our Disney/Pixar Car collection. That freed up tons of shelf space for all the Transformers my son just got for Christmas. I have our "CHUG" collection on one side of our Rec Room divided by faction. Then our movie deluxe/voyager collection displayed on our bookcase on the other side of the room. We posted pictures of his Cyberverse collection already on this site along with my Leader Class/Human Alliance shelf. My son's Birthday party is next weekend, so I will be posting pictures of our movie collection soon.
I don't have a lot of display space, so figures often stand around for a while and then go into storage. Sometimes they come back out. And then I've got a far-too-large MISB collection, too.
Display and play.
I mostly just put them on display, but I will take them out and "play" with them when I make stuff for my comic.
I mean, these are toys. Personally I don't see the point of collecting toys if you don't want to play with them, I'd collect statues otherwise, but that's just me.
Play and display for me, I don't wanna just keep them like statues
I buy two one to keep MISP, the other gets opened and displayed for about two days in each mode then he gets bagged and stored for eternity! (hopefully I can display them in the future)
I play, display and take photos of my TFs.
Play and display for most figures, except for the GPS bunch which are display only.
Display only. Simples.
I play with them and put on my shelfs
Separate names with a comma.
