I'm sure we've all run into this problem at some point-

There's new items coming up that look great but you're already pressed for storage space? What is your reaction-

Get more space, alter priorities for new items or try to purge some older stuff?

I think I'm starting to get to the point where I have to start rotating what's in my display. :(

Make some hard decisions and sell off the parts of your collection you're less passionate about. More killer, less filler.

Haven't really run into this problem yet, but I think I'd get a bookshelf or something.

I have a spare room where I keep my Collections and I'm really Struggling to find space. A whole wall has 3 large bookcases which are full of videos and DVD’s. and the rest are for Displaying Transformers/Marvel/DC/Starwars/Necca/Mezco/Lego etc etc. I have several large plastic boxes and draws that are brim full and piles of figures that are MISB. It dosen’t really help that my Misses put a wardrobe in the room as she’s running out of space for all her clothes :lol . Also I collect trading Cards/Comics which are mounting up.

I won't sell any of my figures and the ones that are MISB I will definitely not open.

I think i'm screwed for space ! :lolol

Your first choice should be rearranging but that has its limits too.

Right now I'm think of just storing the trailers and big accesories somewhere else and only taking them out when I really want to display the figure that uses it. I have a lot of them between my Primes and Brave figures.

I only have a limited amount of display space (a desk and a bokshelf), and only a bit more attic/garage space.

So I have things on rotation. Permanent displays include TF Classics, a squad of clone troopers, and elements of my Doctor Who collection (mostly the doctors, some of my crapton of daleks and some cybermen, everything else is on rotation).

Currently out on my temp display is my Kamen Rider collection, and a spare shelf for TF: Prime.

God knows what I'm going to do when I run out of box storage. Movie TFs are ripe for cheap sales/charity donations to the local kids hospice, other stuff I may try to palm off on other relatives to keep in their attic spaces (seeing as how it's empty right now).

Eventually I want a house of my own, with rooms to dedicate to the mess, but in this market it's just not tenable for a first time buyer, particuarly one with only a smal income.

I'll just put some stuff into plastic bins for storage if I need more space, it can be difficult choosing since I want to display my entire collection but unfortunately space can be a premium.

Yeah, that's what I do. I love all my stuff and it pains me even to think of selling them. I just pack them up and leave them in my store room. Some of the unwanted stuff like movie TFs, I donated them away.

Thin out the collection a bit, sell off things you don't care about so much. Pack some stuff up, especially older figures that have had their time on display, and put them in storage of some sort.

    Buy more stuff!
That's what I do, though I haven't quite figured out how it helps yet.
Actually, my display room had two 6 ft tables in it, I moved one out and replaced it with two bookshelves for TFs, but of course they're full, so I'm going to have to remove the other table one of these days and buy more bookshelves.

Also, periodically sell stuff I'm less interested in, though that's getting harder every time I try to do it.

Lose half of it in a flash flood! Err... wait. No, I don't recommend anyone go through that heartache.

Sell, dude. I need to take my own advice...

Usually what I do is one or more of...

    - Condense things down as much as possible to take up less room in shelves, maximize use of shelf space without crowding too much.
    - Get more shelves, although I'm currently at the limit of how much shelving I can get in my apartment.
    - If I absolutely don't have enough room and need to put some stuff away, they go in three piles in my storage bins: (i) Stuff I definitely want, but is the lowest priority to display, keep until I have more space; (ii) Stuff to definitely sell; (iii) Undecided items, keep in storage for ~6 months and, after that time, sell if I find I don't miss it.
