    This one is simple.

Do you still care about G1 reissues?

Or have the "Classicverse" reimaginations (Classics, Henkei, Universe, Generations, United, Reveal the Shield) satisfied your interest in G1 characters with none of the shortcomings of the original toys?

Well to be honest, it really depends on the toy, and that's why I've always preferred having the best of both worlds. :gen069:

I'm the middle-of-the-fence guy here, as I'd to see both, actually. Classics - Generations+ figures have really struck a chord with the modern collector, but there will always be the collector who will want vintage TFs (but may not want to pay the "vintage" price tag for a complete figure).

I think with both lines, a very important factor is the choosing of the characters/toys that are made and how they're made.

I like both, but I don't see myself collecting G1 stuff, so Classics all the way.

To be completely honest, my definitely favorite figures are the modern era made G1 ones like Masterpiece, iGear stuff, etc.

But if I had to choose between original G1 toys from the 80's and Classics... Well, I don't even collect original G1 so... :p

No longer own any G1, no intentions of buying any G1 again. I buy toys to play with and pose on my desk - can't do that with G1. :)

Short answer like both, own both, currently prefer buying classics.
Wish there was a blasted classics Trailbreaker and Hoist, a new and way better Ironhide and Ratchet.

Classics, for the most part. Since I already have the overwhelming majority of the G1 figures that I want, whether vintage or previous reissues, I have more interest in future update lines.

I'm sure I'll be in the minority, but G1 is all I go after (vintage, reissue, and masterpiece), with some movie and random optimus prime stuff mixed in...

I prefer Classics, but I still have a small spot for G1. It's just that G1 (reissue or not) is so expensive and stressful to collect. I tip my hit to anyone that's willing to put themselves through the unforgiving financial aspect of it as well as the pain in the ass of piece mealing rare vintage originals while being able to decipher between what's legit and what's a KO.

Classics is probably the only line that matters to me anymore.

Hey look! It's a survey catered specifically to me!!
G1/reissues is what got my plastic-crack addiction started 3 years ago, Classic-style is what took it to the next level. I'm still going whole hog with both atm, and look forward to any new release of G1 reissues AND Classic ...as long as it's geewun related :p

So in the immortal words of Deion Sanders from a 90's Pizza Hut commercial: "BOTH!"

    I accept your challenge!

Both please. On one hand, you really want that upgraded version of G1 brick-like wonder and at the same time, really crave for that nostalgic feel to the originals.

Classics are likely to bring in more money for Hasbro than G1 reissues, so that's what I expect we'll see in the future.

Also, I will die a happy man if I never have to see the anagram 'CHUGURTS' ever again. 'Classics' will do just fine.

Never really cared for the G1 reissues...G1 is the core of my collection but I always prefer a great condition, loose G1 to a MISB reissue. Just more satisfying to me, and there's none of the toy safety laws and such that have made reissuing the previous molds to exacting detail more and more improbable.

I have all three in mint condition with box...but even then this would be AWESOME.

Of course, all new molds for all three in the classics vein would trump that. One can wish.
