As we've all seen, alot of Decepticons share the same look of another. But what do you call them?

One thing that pisses me off is when people call them 'clones.'. Transformers has shown that someone can share the same model, but is their own character with personalities and characters. But in the movie's sake, they were cannon fodder.

So what do you call these body-type stealers?

I always thought of the mighty contradiction in people hating on the movies, with all the clones being one of the reasons why, yet they forget about... Oh, I don't know...
Prowl, Bluestreak, Smokescreen, Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, Red Alert, Starscream, Skywarp, Thundercracker, Rainmaker #1, Rainmaker #2, Acid Storm, Sunstorm, Bumblebee, Hubcap, Bumper, Cliffjumper, Glyph, Ratchet, Ironhide, Trailbreaker, Hoist, Huffer and Pipes... the list goes on.
    I mean, just saying.

    Cannon fodder. :p

But I think the most widely accepted term on these here boards are either "clones" or "drones".

I think "drone" is the proper term. As far as I'm concerned, they all have the same personality (but function separately from each other, of course), and the varying designs just indicate different functions/rank.

Drones. Massly produced, same body type. Rayzilla said it quite well.

The only reason they look the same is because they are protoforms they dont feel the need to adopt vehicles that will become obsolete because they were going to take over the world. The protoforms have also shown independence so I dont think they qualify as drones.

We're talking about the multiple Long Hauls, Bonecrushers, etc. Not Protoforms. Protoforms are just the skeleton, we're talking about things like Scrapper in ROTF vs Scrapper from DOTM.

Problem with this example is that none of the clones look any different from each other. The only one who did was the desert repaint of Brawl that you could only see in a freeze frame. For the rest they are identical, which makes them more like Vehicons (either the BM or Prime variety).
