What do we think the chances of seeing a reissued Trypticon and Fortress Maximus are?

So, my big bots from g1 and movies collection is nearly complete, just got Primus and Jetwing Prime to go. Then, there are these 2 others, Fort Max and Trypticon. Both in the UK will set me back at least £600 for the kind of condition I want and inn Fort max's case, probably more like a grand. I guess there are others in this same position, so the question is, do we really think Takara is going to reissue them, or should we start saving our pennies? I'd hate to be in a position in a few years where no reissue comes out and the price has gone up even more. Then again, I don't care about having an old toy for the sake of it being old, quite frankly if they reissued Overlord I'd sell my original and get the reissue where all his stickers are intact :)
So what do people think? what have people heard? what do we know for sure?

    We know nothing for sure.

We've *heard* at least someone at Takara is looking at reissuing larger toys.

But Encore keeps going into Limbo... Takara have released solicitations for the next 6 months, and there's no Encore there.... they seem more interested in pushing Masterpieces at the moment.

I'd say slim, but as miscreant says TakaraTomy is saying there's a chance!

Trypticon MAYBE, but Fort Max. probably will never be produced again. He's simply TOO big.

I wouldn't expect anything soon, certainly. We're still waiting to see if that Encore Sixshot rumor will actually happen (it's looking more and more like it won't, the longer we go without preorders going up at the major online retailers), and we've heard nothing else about future releases of any sort regarding Encore or reissues.

Here's the problem. Fans practically screamed for Metroplex, SkyLynx, and Omega Supreme for years on end. All three were released...and wound up in clearance sales. Now if I was Takara, I would be watching the sales of Devastator very closely, and I see Devastator widely available 6 months after release. Don't hold your breath.

I would love a new Trypticon. Mine is missing a hand along with every conceivable piece that can be popped off (he was given to me by a friend a LOOOONNNGGG time ago).

    Trypticon low

Fort max or any of his variants/repaints lower still, i would say non existent if not for the the reports Takara is considering it for the 30th anniversary.

If Metroplex got Reissued, there's a chance Trypticon will get reissue. Even if Godzillatron was motorized.

Fortress Maximus, on the other hand.... I have a hard time seeing any retailer (Online or otherwise) selling an expensive almost 2-foot-tall Plastic Robot toy. Especially in this economy.
As much as I'd love to see Fort Max get reissued, He'd end up an expensive shelf-warmer REAL quick since really only collectors that have enough space and money want Fortress Maximus.

I wouldn't be surprised to see TakTom release an encore or two around the time TF 4 is released; to ride on the hype of the new movie. Whether Fortmax or Trypticon will be released remains to be seen...

To sell well, it'd have to be a limited series, like 800 figures or so. People would complain, but they would sell and 800 more people would get Fort Max.

I am optimistically hopeful Takara will reissue Trypticon, not sure about Fort Max tho.You ask me why is because they did Omega Supreme,Metroplex,Predaking and others haven't they.I figure give it another year and you may see news of it after they get the MP line rolling.Just my 2 cents.
