does that mean G1 colors and if so y call it anime color?
Anime color=Show accurate paint scheme.
No, it generally means show accurate colours. Astrotrain for instance... both the original US and Japanese versions didn't match the show. The US was black, whit and purple, while the Japanese was black and white... the show [or anime] version released by eHobby actually matched the show colours pretty accurrately, thus he is considered 'anime coloured'.
That answer your question?
I never really considered G1 to be "anime"...
Me neither, but for some reason it's picked up the label...
yah thats weird why is that?
Anime is a blanket term for animation in the Japanese language.
Understood... but G1 wasn't Japanese animation. At least not the original G1... Headmasters, Victory, etc perhaps count, but not sure.
Its still the term used for animation, even its from the US, Canada, or New Zealand.
Not in my vocabulary. Japanese stuff, for the most part, is anime. American stuff is not. There's a certain style to it, IMO.
Of course, it is to me to. But i'm sure both of us grew up speaking english. Different languages are going to have different ways of defining stuff.
Actually, it took sometime for me to accept this. But G1 was anime. The US came up with the whole idea and all the episodes, while Japan just created the episodes and sent it to us first. They got it later.
But it wasn't made in Japan. Not at all. Not the original stuff at least.
Well, ok, after reading the wiki article about Sunbow [here] perhaps some of the episodes were animated in Japan as well as South Korea, but it was still an American created cartoon series. Thus, IMO at least, not anime.
I... don't understand what you mean. But i am extremely tired...
I meant that we came up with The Headmasters. It would've been American if Hasbro stuck with the idea of human sized robots becoming the heads of huge non sentient bodies called Transtectors. Instead they ditched the idea of it and went with stupid organic creatures merging with robots.
If you saw Masterforce's big book special, it was hinted that Optimus Prime would've been Powermaster Prime if he got his Transtector early on and if Hi Q merged with him.
Ah... ok. But I'm still a bit confused as to whether you're saying " it is anime" or "it is not anime" cus you seemed pretty clear in your first post. Now not so much.
But i are sleepy, so I'm probably just not processing things completely.
Anime colours sounds cooler than cartoon colours.
Also, in Japan the term Anime covers all cartoons, so when they say Anime colours, they simply mean cartoon colours... and since they're the ones with all the exclusive accurate paint schemes... Japan coined the term and the west copied.
Is how I see it.
i try to use the word cartoon instead of anime when i can.
that said, anime accurate rolls of your tongue better. yay for alliteration!
Alliteration FTW! (damn it, I used it again..)
can we stop saying "accurate" too? there's no such thing as accurate. how about "cartoon style" instead of "anime accurate?"
Separate names with a comma.
