The Transformers Classics line is exclusive to Hasbro so far. And there seems to be no news about the live movie coming out in Japan. so how are Japanese fans reacting to the Classic toy line? are the toys in high demand?

If it is a Hasbro only thing they are thinking "Why can't we get that instead of Hentai Transformers?!"

Just think: If Kiss Convoy does well we might see further hentai crossovers. Like a return of the Pretenders line, only with female shells and removale armor.

Although, knowing the Japanese, they probably wouldn't do something that normal. They'd be called WombMasters and would "give birth" to their robot forms.

I actually read almost an exact comment in a Japanese message board :lol

Japanese fans are excited about Classics as well, but they have far less means to get import figures than, say, American fans to get Japanese figures.
(Less import toy shops in Japan and using overseas online shops can be hard due to the language difference.)
e-Hobby hopefully carry Classics, but their price is rather high :(

The upcoming movie isn't making much news, so I still hear people say "Is it really happening?"

Sadly, I can see that happening. Japan is a strange place when it comes to childrens toys. Anyone remember the Russian Roulette game for kids?

I rarely trust the supposed japanese fan opinion given on a western forum unless it's offered by someone with no bias one way or the other.

It's really amazing how 99% of the time the Japanese fans tend to support the view of the person offering up the opinion, especially when it's a polarised issue.

It's been mentioned before, but what Japanese fans say is exactly the same as what people say here.

No consensus in a fandom must be a universal fact :lol

The only difference is that many message boards aren't modded (most of them have Kanrinin-san, the webmaster, though) and you don't need to register to post your opinions.
Some message boards are totally anonymous and people use extremely low language to bash MP-3.
