A rooster? You got her a rooster? ill admit its unique.... most women would want a kitten or a puppy...but to each their own.

I don't think you got the joke....

Being that my wife is not here with me I made sure I bought her a Valentine's gift when she was here in Jan. I got her a Guess? watch that is heart shaped with a lot of glitters. She really love it when we were shopping so I bought it on the spot.

I'll be getting her a karate chop to the back of the neck. That's if she ever drags her sorry butt out of bed.

    LOL

Just kidding. Got her some good stuff, but, man I hate Valentine's Day.

I got her a card to celebrate the anniversary of the downfall of culture as we know it. That is to say, I think this day is a travesty, and an excuse to take the other person in a relationship for granted every other day of the year, and as such we should appreciate them as if every day was valetines day.

A gift given for no reason is a million times more important than "showing her you love her with a diamond from zales."

Maybe I am a hopeless romantic, perhaps I am someone who still resents the fact his first GF dumped him in an e-mail on valentines day, or maybe I am just someone who wishes to rebel against a pointless cause, regardless DOWN WITH HALLMARK DAY!!!

Nothing. Gaddam Crimmus just happened, her birthday was 04JAN, our wedding anniversary (which I forgot due to a test in school) was 31JAN...I'm tapped out on paying lip service to holidays that people shouldn't take seriously after they turn 16, and Valentine's is hand-down the worst of the bunch.

Human beings are very successful because they are highly adaptable. Unfortunately, that means adapting to good things as well, which means many of us tend to take things for granted. Valentine's Day need be nothing more than a reminder of what you have, rather than an excuse to forget it. As with any other holiday, there is no reason to let the marketing define it for you.

I got her a book set of Dante's Divine Comedy. :)  With lots of art (she paints and was really impressed by what she saw when she was thumbing through one of the volumes in the store)
