he deserved getting his head chopped off
There has been many many threads bout this all baisically sayin the same thing , but since you are new and it is annoying looking through all the previous threads to find if ur thread idea is similar to someone else's , I shall comment
Considering Meggs killed prime in ROTF and was about to kill him and Sam in TF1 , I'd say he deserved it
BUT , I think that megatron and optimus should never die rather, they should remain mortal enemies with them each sustaining minor to heavy damage from each battle they have.
This make it seem that megs and prime are well suited and jst as powerful as each other
Also I woulda liked to have seen a truce between prime and megs againsts sentinel
He got what he deserved. Regardless of what others may say, his death brought closure to the trilogy. It also left the possibility open for him to return as Galvatron!
Yes He got what He Deserved, He Wanted to take Over the Universe And would Kill and Enslave
All Who Opposed Him, He Wanted Not only
Cybertron but Earth as Well! and He Planned the whole thing
and he wasn't About to Give it All Up!
and For all the Innocent Transformers He Killed Back on Cybertron,
And the Countless Humans that Were Killed and Autobots,
He got what He Deserved Justice Was Done!
Two words. Villain decay.
As far as I'm concerned, he already returned as Galvatron in ROTF.
Megatron had a lot to answer for: he earned his painful death.
i think megatron should have tried harder for a truce on screen.
Comparing the join dates of you and the initial poster makes this, ironic? Something...
Yeah, but Sentinels head should of been cut in two by his sword too.
I would have liked Autobot Megatron (Megabot?), especially if given higher or equal rank to Optimus.
honestly it is kinda sad when he can be defeated so quick
Megatron felt like he had potential since they picked a voice actor who could bring personality to the character. In the first film it's a toe to toe battle with Prime across the city for a nice big chunk of the big battle at the end, with Sam having to be the deciding factor at the end since Megatron couldn't beat Prime and Prime couldn't beat Megatron.
After that it's kind of all down hill for Megatron.
He's playing toady to The Fallen in the second film and he's toady enough in the third film that the eye candy can point it out. Felt more like Prime was just killing a shambling pale shadow of Megatron at the end of Dark of the Moon rather than one of the great Megatron's of the past.
His constant "reincarnations" for the sake of toyetics and gradual movement away from a central villain role really hurt the focus on the character, but those same things could have been a source of (nearly) new ground for the portrayal of the character. Instead, it felt like a massive waste of potential, and a final, ignominious end.
I enjoyed the character in DotM. I Loved the look, the way he did stuff. I was disappointed in his death. I know it had/was to come form this being the "final" film but, I would have liked to see this Megatron be flushed out more, watch him raise back up. To what we all know and love.
It's a shame he was a waste...
ye i didnt notice that, i was lookin at the amount of posts
He didn't deserve to die, but he sure as hell didn't do anything to help his case.
I do however, feel, especially in DOTM, he was a sympathetic character ONLY due to his want to bring back cybertron.
He has long deserved to die. Anyone who is ready to step over all for the power, does not deserve life. The life was created for those who know how to love and protect.
