    Does anyone know what Fortress Maximus originally retailed for back in 86/87 when it first came out in the states??

    I think it was around $200 or so. All I know is my parents said HELL NO!!

    $99.99, but I never wanted him. I was always more fascinated with Metroplex. I had no idea how big he was back in the day.

    I also did not get one. Either one.

    I never saw the price tag for Fortress Maximus in Denmark, because luckily I won mine in a drawing contest, but I did see Scorponok and he was about $215 (in '88).

    I got it for Christmas back then and he was $99.99 and Scorponok I believe was $59.99... got them both that year :) 

    Ah I miss going through the old Sears wish books when I was a kid...

    Yup it was $100. I remember vividly because I had $80 of the money and my parents wouldn't loan me the other $20 for it. I did odd jobs around the house to earn money, so I would have had it paid back in roughly a month. To this day her words ring in my head "You're not going to spend $100 on a toy." :lol  little did she know that I would spend 5 times that much to get him years later.

    I got my first Fort Max for $79.99 but he was on sale that week.If I recall my Scorponok was $59.99

    I don't even remember him coming out. By the time he came out, I was losing interest in TFs and starting to pick up Capt. Power. After that I was done with toys and gave everything I owned away to my best friend, as I was enter my teen years. God I was stupid.
