Megatron? Bludgeon? Shockwave? Starscream? whom? And don't base your answer off of your favorite character.

Yes Shockwave is my favorite but he is a great commander compared to the coward Starscream or that monkey Megatron. Shockwave gets shit done, he actually does stuff. As stupid and fan-boyish as it sounds I would feel like both proud and motivated. I would be honored to be his Soundwave (ok that mighta sounded gay) but think about it

    "Yeah my commander is Shockwave"
"Oh yeah? What's that like, he any good?"
"Will he renenergized us, made us more troops, defeated Megatron and the Autobots. Had a solution for our energon problem."
    "Sounds nice"
"It is, so what about you"
    "I follow commander Starscream"
    "And"
"Will.....he had a coronation? And um he had a real cool cape and crown heh?"
    "Ummmm......yeaaaah"

Megatron. Bludgeon was psychotic, Starscream would sell you out if he thought he could get a better deal, and Shockwave would do exactly the same thing, except he'd say logic dictated it.

With Megatron, you'd have to give him a REASON to kill you.

Megatron. Every now and then he gets deposed but name once, just once, when he hasn't come back as even more of a tyrant than he was before. No one attacks or overthrows Megatron without being vaporized. Shockwave or Starscream or a host of others may have had power briefly but Megatron has been the Decepticon commander for tens of millions of years. He wouldn't have gotten to that point without doing some things very, very right.

Shockwave. He's not only my favorite character, but, I like the way his character was played out in the comics, which was one of the reasons that he's my favorite character, lol. I like the way he thinks. All he really needs to have to be perfect, is a 2nd in command that will be able to help Shockwave with his lack of emotions.

I would not follow any of the Decepticon leaders.

If I wasn't an Autobot, I would be a mercenary, only following the highest bidder.

Starscream. Why? Because he would eventually screw up and leave the door open for me to take over! Mwah-hahahahahahahahaha! And HA!

What about Blitzwing? Nobody wants to be his military advisor, giving him advice on zone defenses and long bombs?

Megatron. Starscream has too much ego. Soundwave is a blackmailer that no one but his own tapes like. Shockwave may good at gaining victory but he has none of Megatron's charisma. Part of the reason Megs is a good leader is that he does inspire the morale of his troops. For example, when the Cons first awake on Earth, things could have really fallen apart for Megs right there but he assure the Decepticons with unwaverying certainty that their homeworld still exist and that their mission is the same. It it Megatron's charasmatic commitment to his cause that makes him a good leader as much as his ruthlessness in battle. Just like Op, he won't order someone to do something he wasn't willing to do himself.

Shockwave. He's the most even tempered and his actions are dictated by logic rather than emotion which means that as long as I make myself useful, I'm safe from being turned inside out. Also, his actions are in the best interest of Cybertron and its inhabitants and I can get behind that. Since I'm a Decepticon the ends justify the means.

I'm going to buck the trend and say Scorponok as he was characterised in the later Marvel G1 comics, leading the Decepticons prior to the Unicron threat. Utterly ruthless but intelligent with it. Megatron was just nuts, Bludgeon's a fundamentalist, Starscream would soon as shoot you in the back and Shockwave would ditch you if it was the 'logical' course of action.

Starscream, cause he had a cool cape >_>

Ok, seriously though..much as I like SS, it'd have to be Megatron. Pretty much for the reasons many have stated before.

Shockwave always was a psycotic bastard in the comicbooks! As well as Bluedugon! I'd kill Starscream, hearing his annoying voice! He'd sell you out! So will Soundwave! I'd follow Megatron's orders! Like yousaid you'd have to give em' a good reason to kill you!
