I remember it was blue in the first film (as seen when Lennox shoots down Blackout), and then in the sequels they made it red? And before you say “the blue stuff is Energon”, Energon is described by Jetfire to be “the lifeblood of our race”, so it definitely counts as Transformer blood.

They should have kept it blue. Not just as a matter of consistency between films; making it red kind of linked them weirdly to humans (why would Transformers have human blood?), as well as looking like MBay was dealing with the “not enough red” complaints.

Yes, their blood is blue, it's energon. The red is probably fluids from their vehicle modes. ;)

Yeah the glowy blue still is their energon blood.

It's still shown to to be blue in the sequel's at times though, notably when Jetfire gets drilled through. It's only colored red when it's leaking from their mouths, which I guess is supposed to represent it being tainted from internal damage or something.

The Energon "blood" is blue in all three films.

Jazz ripped in half, Jetfire torn open, Optimus Prime's axe buried in Megatron's spark-chamber...it's all blue.

It never changed, we just didn't see much of the other fluids in the first movie.

And the coolants, lubricants, etc. are probably for EVERY mode, not just their alt. modes.

While we're at it, though...personally, I love that stuff.

    The more mech-gore THE BETTER.

What about the green crap that was on Ravages Spine and poured from Ironhides mouth,( I think Ironhide had some coming out of his mouth) ?
And you can't say it was AntiFreeze. Ravage was a cat, he wouldn't have that...

^ Maybe in Ironhide's case, it was Energon affected by the Cosmic Rust? Just my guess.

But he IS a mechanical being.

So it could very well be some kind of antifreeze agent or any number of other liquids needed to keep them running smoothly.

Considering it was surrounding his spine, I'd guess it was probably some kind of spinal fluid and/or lubricant for all those joints.

I don't recall a part where it was blue in DOTM, but it was certainly blue in TF07 and ROTF. Blackout getting shot bled blue "blood", and Jetfire and the Fallen's sparks both exploded into blue liquid when they were crushed.

I have not rewatched DOTM since I saw it in theatres, but thinking of all the kills, I can't recall one where they bled blue. It was all dark brown or red like oil.

    ^ The axe in Megatron's spark-chamber.

It was gushing blue Energon when Optimus yanked it back out.

This. The red stuff isn't our equivalent of blood. It's just other fluids.

For the sake of argument...the red stuff is transmission fluid.

The blue came from his spark.

    Which is basically his heart.

    Which runs on Energon.

    ENERGON = BLOOD = BLUE

The blue liquid is definitely energon and the red liquid could be when a cybertronian is throwing up.
