I'd be interested to hear if anyone has different versions of a character numbering in the double figures that isn't on that poll list.

Plus Primus since he kinda started the whole thing and gave 'em the namesake, etc.

Second most variations: Megatron (I should really count.)
Third most variations: Grimlock (again, need to count.)


* The story behind this is that I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue with Primals, or go for the actual Convoys/matrix-bearers (Leo Prime, Big Convoy) so I asked /toy/ their opinion. The answer was "Why only one group?"

I've got six different molds of the movieverse Ironhide, plus the Universe 2.0 incarnation of the character, so that's seven Ironhides right there... XD

 

Starscream without question. Just check to the left. That number also includes doubles.

 

Counting all the tape reissues I might have double-digit Laserbeaks.

I count Optimus Primal amongst my Optimus Primes (but not the Black Convoy repaints...those go with my Nemesis Primes, even if they're not overtly Nemesis-ish), I have 47. It'll be 48 once I get that Battle Blades Voyager and if the Jetpower Voyager ever comes out, it'll be 49.

After that is Megatron, with at least 30. If you count Galvatron, than it's closer to 40.

 

Optimus Prime without a doubt.. oddly Bumblebee ranks 2nd and Prowl 3rd. I would reverse that but Prowl is harder to find, go figure  

 

Prime. 32 versions and counting. Rodimus is up to 5 as well as bee. Oh and 9 nemesis primes.

 

Starscream is in the lead with his G1, Energon, Cybertron, Classics, Masterpiece, movie 1 voyager, Universe, & Animated versions off the top of my head.

Optimus is close, with 25th Anniv. G1, Classics voyager, Classics deluxe, 20th anniv. Masterpiece, & animated deluxe.

Well, glad Starscream is chugging along in distant second. Many of you have more Primes than I have TFs.  

 

Prime, only because they make so many awesome toys of him. If any other character got that kinda treatment I'd have them too.

 

I own four Starscreams (Robot Heroes, Revoltech, Universe, Robot Masters), and three Megatrons (ROTF Voyager, Revoltech, TFA Leader Class). So Starscream wins, but only by a slim margin. It's because he was my favourite character when I first got into Transformers, but he has since been eclipsed in popularity by Megatron, Thundercracker and Rumble (FIRRIB).

I've also got two Ratchets (TFA and ROTF), two Soundwaves (TFA and ROTF) and two Skywarps (TFA and Masterpiece). Weird. I didn't even realise until just now. XD

Yeah, I'd ventured a guess that it's ended up for me just as a toy production default, not so much that "oh it's a Prime toy, so I've gotta have it" sorta thing.
