My fears have been confirmed: check Newsarama.com and read about the post-Flashpoint reboot. All new #1s, altered costumes and continuity. It's like Crisis on Infinite Earths again. Not sure if it's a good idea or not...

Yeah I've seen that already. I like it for some reason.. It has a more updated feel. I'll have to see more of it to have a final opinion though.

First of all, I wouldn't change anything up till the point when Optimus is killed.

    Why?

Because the movie works till then.

So in the finished film, you set up this situation where Sam's parents are kidnapped, Decepticons are openly attacking, Optimus is dead, and the authorities themselves are seemingly after Sam. And yet, the whole thing is so ineptly done that you almost immediately kill the tension, and Sam and co. just blunder around like Scooby-Doo and the gang.

So...simplify. Sam has the knowledge of the Allspark, so he (with Wheelie and the Twins' help) knows how to find the energon source. The energon source is the Matrix of Leadership. When it is united with the Spark of a Prime, the knowledge of the Allspark will flow back to him so that he can access energon from other dimensions. Since the Fallen is a Prime, he intends to use this to save the hatchlings--and then convert Earth into raw material for more.

The Decepticons ravage (ON-SCREEN) the continental US looking for Sam, almost incidentally trashing the US military along the way. They only call off the attack because Megatron realizes that he, too, has data from the Allspark due to his exposure to it. The Fallen contemptuously orders Megatron to finish subjugating the US while he flies to Egypt and starts searching for the Matrix.

Galloway manages to convince Megatron to accept a negotiated surrender of the US. Ironhide's troops are rounded up and imprisoned by the US Army and the Decepticons upon the Nemesis (which has landed in DC). Ratchet, ever-devoted, continues to try to find the spark of life within Optimus' body. Ratchet and Megatron share a scene where, angry, Megatron desecrates Optimus' body, but then remembers their earlier life as friends. He allows Ratchet to keep his tools and continue working.

Sam is captured by NEST...but Lennox, Epps, and company refuse to turn him in. All of them are then rescued from overwhelming odds by Simmons and Jetfire. "Robo-Warrior" was a phantom, unable to be found because he'd found the old Seeker, who can out-stealth even flying Decepticons. Jetfire recognizes the knowledge within Sam, and coaches him to build a rudimentary space bridge. He beams Lennox and Epps into the Nemesis to free the others in a dramatic prison break, and flies with Jetfire to the Matrix in Egypt. He turns up the Matrix, but Starscream discovers Jetfire and the Decepticons tear the great Seeker apart. Sam just escapes in Bumblebee.

The Decepticons, who are relatively few in number, are visibly having a hard time coping with human resistance in the US and Egypt. Because of this, NEST and the Autobots manage to escape the Nemesis in a shuttlecraft. Starscream shoots them down over Egypt. Ratchet, however, has repaired Optimus to the point that his body can accept the Matrix of Leadership. Sam is cured and Optimus is reborn. Optimus heals Jetfire, and the grateful Seeker combines with him to create a colossus that confronts the Fallen atop a pyramid. The rest of the Autobots (yes, all of them) fight Megatron to a standstill to prevent him from tipping the balance of power.

The Fallen is defeated by Optimus, but commands the Constructicons to form Devastator. Devy plays soccer with JetPrime, killing Jetfire for good, and laughs off fire from the Autobots and the human militaries. However, Prime unleashes the full power of the Matrix, ripping apart the Fallen and using his energy to enrich the hatchlings. Upon seeing this, Devastator and Megatron lower their weapons. Since the next generation of their race WILL survive, the Transformers call an uneasy truce. The Decepticons fly into outer space with their brood, while Optimus begins creating new Autobots on Earth and working openly with humans to defend it.

    Maybe.
A truck is too pathetic for Megatron and I don't like the fact that it is meant to look like an evil OP. I want Megatron not to be based on OP
Maybe Also have it that the Fallen joined later and Megatron was the starter of the decepticons and the fallens orriginal followers were not Decepticons.
Make it that Megatron didn't die in the first and I would be happy if not make it PPrime died one on one with Megatron.

I would like to remake the first film so Prime kills Meg or he dosn't die.
Make it that she has a bigger role.

Ok so my version would go like this

-Shangai scene stays the way it is but Sidways is captured and it ends with Optimus giving Deomlishor a chance to join the Aubots to whick he replies "DECEPTICONS FOREVER!".

-Sam doesn't have another shard of the Allspark so no gremlin-bots, Cut down the scenes in the house, just estabilish that he's going to college. Bee talks to Sam in his normal voice no more of this radio talking crap.

-Scene in he hangag with optimus stays the same wit minor changes. Soundwave learns of the location of the Allspark-shard, and sends Ravage and Ravage retrives it, not Reedman.

-Sam scenes in college. Again trimmed down, only shows that he's there.

-Megatron is revived, goes to the Nemesis and meets with Starscream. He tells him that they need to re-create the Allspark and he knows that there's a machine on Earth that the Primes used to incres the Allsparks power by destroying suns. He also explains that he reason why the Allspark cam to Earth is because it was attracted to it by signal of the machine, and that's how he knew where to look.

    - Soundwave informs Megatron that during the two years the Decepticons were looking for that machin and that they have located it. Megatron then informs them all they need now is a way to activate it, and they need an artifact of the Primes. Starscream asks where are they going to get that. Megatron replies "Optimus!"

    - Bee visits Sam as college on his own and while they're driving off and talking Barricade give chase to them and they get captured by Grindor. Megatron wants to use Bee as a hostage to lure Optimus into a trap. Optimus and the Autobots go in and forest battle ensures while Barricade and some Decepticon troopers hold the Autobots.

    - Barricade gets killed by Ironhide. Optimus Doesnt get killed just injured badly by Megatrons who proceeds to rip out half of the Matrix of Leadership from his chest and before he could finish him off the Autobots interfere and Megatron and SS flee having gotten what they came for.

    - We get the SS and Megs building scene but it ends with Soundwave informing him that the Construction have started unsealing the machine and Megatron and SS travel to Egypt and we get a money shot of Contructicons tearing down the pyramid revealing the Harvester.

-Back the NEST HQ Ratchet is repearing Optimus, Mikaela is there since she's in danger because of her connection to Sam and the Autobots. Sidwpie asks what the Decepticons want ot do with the Matrix of Leadership, since he thoutgh that it's a simpleritual item that has no power or anything. Sams asks what's the Matrix and RAtchet informs him that it's an item given to the Leader of Cybertron, kind of like a crown for a king. Optimus has half ofthe matrix and Megatron has the other half. They figure out that it must be more to it.

-The only way to figure out what is going on is o ask a Decepticon so they re-activate Sidways from stasis-lock and he explains what he was looking for but he never found it and the one that did is Jetfire who's now in a Air museum hiding. He also asks to join the Autobots.

-The Autobots mobilise to the museum expecting a badass indestructable Decepticon, only to find a rusty uncordinated bat-shit insane old man that doesn't even know his ass from his head. They can't believe that he was able to find the machine Sideways was talking about only to finds out that he used to work for the Primes that he was here while the machine was being built! The reason why the Decepticons know of it's location is because he told that it's in Egypt in his rambling when they woke him up, after which they forced him into stasis-lock again.

-Optimus calls NEST and mobilises them to Egypt while Jetfire using the sprage-brigde teleposrts them there. He then tells them the story of the Primes and The Fallen. The Primes used to use Cybertron as a bih ship traveling form system to system using the natural sunlight to power up the Allspark. But one had a different idea. He wanted to drain the power of the stars direcly into the Allspark. The other primes said that they mustn't do that because it would disturb the order of the cosmos, plus there are otehr beings that need the sunlight. He went on with his plan after all and built a machine on this planet. Jetfire was the leader of the army of the Primes that tried to stop the Fallen and his Decepticon drones but he wasn't able to do it, and the Fallen Prime killed his army along with the rest of the Primes until only one remained. That one was Vector Prime who sacrifised his life to kill the one that should be knonws forevermore ad The Fallen. Before he sarifised himself he gave Jetfire a piece of his spark so he could inster it into a protoform body so that the "blood-line" of the Primes could live on.

-We see Megatron finishing that story while talking to Starscream. He then says the The Fallen only thought of his race as superior to other and that wanted for the Cybertronians to be the domints force in the galaxy. That's why he based the Decepticons of his adn why they use The Fallens face as their symbol.

-The autobots and the military get to Egypt just as Megatron is about the activate the Sun harvester and Optimus goes to fight Megatron while the other Autobots fight the Constructicons, drones and Starscream. Sideways is killed by SS for treason.

-Optimus get's the living shit beat out of him by Megatron who then activated the sun harvester "caliming out sun"! but before he could give the final blow to Optimus (again) he is stopped by Jetfire who protects Optimus. Jetfire dies happily knowing that he gave his life so that the Primes could live on and ask Optimus to use his parts.

-Ratchet fused Optimus and Jetfire. Jetfire Optimus owns Megatron, who hen just like in the actualy movie cries of for Starscream. Starscream then shouts "Constructions form DEVASTATOR!"

-And the final battle is between Jet-Optimus, the Autobots, the military agains Devastator who destroys the military tanks and stuff, as well as kills the Arcee sisters and suck up Optimus. But Oprimus busts out, being the inasde badass that he is, and puts all of Jetfires parts into one BFG and with one shot he throws Devastator into the sunharvester blowing it up, and stopping the beam just as it was about to reach our sun.

-We get the "Coward do survive" scene as Megs and SS flee.

    - We see all of the surviving Autobots stainding on ar aircraf carriesr as Optims narrates the end of the movie.

The Forest Battle should have an extended scene:

It goes as it is. After Optimus tears Grindor's head off, he shouts, "Had enough?!" and The Fallen teleports into the fray. He starts wailing on Optimus and throwing him around with his telekinesis. Optimus whips out his gun, but The Fallen whips out his staff and swipes Prime's gun with it, and the gun shatters. Eventually, The Fallen looks Optimus in the eye and mutters, "Such a pity...you had so much potential to overpower even ME...but no matter...I rise, you fall..." He then teleports away, then Optimus shouts for Sam when Megatron stabs him in the back.

Basically, it'd show The Fallen as a much greater threat, not to mention a better villain. It'd actually make the final confrontation look better paced. And not to mention fill a plot hole - Optimus has the potential to destroy him, but he, dare I say it, hasn't transformed into what he was meant to become.

The other scene should have had Devastator in the big part of the desert battle. The Constructicons seem to retreat, and the Autobots start to charge them, but instead, they see them all lined up in a formation, and they all start freaking, much to the surprise of the human soldiers, then Devastator forms and starts laying waste to the battlefield. Eventually, sensing victory, he turns and heads to the Pyramids.

Plus, I'm actually okay with Megatron being a servant to The Fallen. Megatron follows him as if The Fallen were a god, not a military leader. He follows him the same way Optimus (and the other Primes) follow the Will of the Matrix.

Someone may have posted this already, but the early (faked) script which found them all battling it it out in Las Vegas was almost perfect.

Hmmm, some changes that I would make to ROTF:

    - Cut the Twins out

    - Arcee would be in her 07 Movie design, not in her ROTF form as the 3 Bike Sisters

    - Keep scenes featuring Sam's parents brief and to the point

    - Have Alice show up after Sam arrives on college, not to mention give at least a bit more of an on-screen explanation that she's a Decepticon Pretender and why she went after Sam

    - None of Simmons' wearing a thong or Leo's accidentally tazing himself

    - Give some more screen-time for Sideswipe and Arcee, as well as for Ratchet and Ironhide

    - No clones of the Constructicons, especially those who show up after the Constructicons have merged into Devastator

    - Barricade shows up in ROTF, like it was said he was going to but for reasons unknown he never made it into the movie

That's all the changes that I can think of that I would make to ROTF.

    Ok here goes.

Shanghai: extended Sideways chase, Sideways transformers and fights off both the Sisters and the Twins which is what causes Nest to call in Sideswipe, Sideways battles against Sideswipe but when it becomes apparent he is at a disadvantage he flees, cue his death scene. Also Ironhide helps bring down Demolisher puncturing one of his wheels or something.

    Sam moving out:
is trimmed, no dog humping and baby booties.

Nest Hangar and Ravage's assualt: are unchanged. College scene is trimmed, Sam and Leo intro stays the same, "stoned mom with frisbee" is cut.

Megatron's revival: is mostly the same, Constructicons have some lines, "At long last we have found our master" "All Hail Megatron" etc. Long Haul acts as leader, Constructicons rather than the Doctor revive Megatron.

The Nemesis: stays the same but an additional scene shows The Fallen promising Megatron the power of a Prime, once Optimus is defeated. Following that we see Megatron and Starscream flying back to Earth where they meet up with Soundwave. Megatron makes it clear it is he, not The Fallen who shall claim the Star Harvester.

Alice's attack on Sam and gang: when they drive off fleeing from Alice. Alice gets in Barricade and proceeds to give chase. Barricade pulls up along side the group and rams them while Alice jumps onto the bonnet of their car, she is killed the same. After her death the group lose track of Barricade before he nails them at an intersection, cue Grindor abducting the group.

Interrogation: is largely unaltered, Barricade is present and offers to "beat it out of them" but Megatron refuses and lets the "good Doctor examine" Sam. Bee, Prime and Ironhide crash the party mostly the same, except with the obviouse fact Ironhide is there, he spear tackles Barricade out of the building.
Ironhide tells Bee to grab the children while he takes care of business, him and Barricade start fighting, while Leo and Mikalea get in Bee. Sam goes with Optimus.

Forest Fight: is exactly as is. Optimus still dies, Ironhide laments "I was too late". Barricade's fate is left open again.

Next couple of scenes are the same, with the exception Megatron again meets up with Soundwave using him to broadcast the demand for Sam, like in the orginal script.

Simmons shop and Musuem scenes are condensed, Jetfire's backstory is changed instead of serving The Fallen he served Megatron. When Jetfire is awakened he intially acts like a Decepticon "Long live Megatron! Decepticons Forever" but then he decides to "sod it" and says he's had enough and is retiring as a Decepticon.

The Egypt exploration scenes are trimmed ALOT, (IMO this was the movie's weakest point) no stupid midget border patrol and less crapping on. After Simmons calls Lennox, Epps expresses some doubt about if they should really attempt to do it but Lennox reminds him they "owe Optimus that much".

    Egypt Battle:
Stays the same up until the Con attack, Sam receives an intact Matrix, no near death experiences needed. The Constructicons attack as the Decepticon's elite unit and have some initial success blowing up a few NEST troopers etc. Autobots counterattack forcing the Contructicons back, Long Haul orders them to "merge" and Devastator devastates the allied forces: Jolt is crushed to death by the behemoth and several soldiers are sucked into Devastator's gaping maw. Autobots are on the back foot, before Sam arrives and revives Optimus who rallies the allied forces and together with Jetfire and the other Autobots they cause enough damage to Devastator forcing him to seperate.

Fights between individuals begin, Mixmaster fatally injures Jetfire, Scorponok is omitted entirely, before he is killed by the ex-Decepticon. Bonecrusher takes the sisters out but is immediately killed by Ironhide. Bee fights Rampage the same, but Ravage flees. Sideswipe takes on Long Haul in a epic battle and just when Long Haul starts to gain the upper hand, Ratchet intervenes slicing off one of his legs, Sideswipe finishes him off.

Meanwhile the Fallen and Megatron are atop the pyramid watching the carnage unfold, Simmons spots them and radios a US navy warship equipped with a experimental rail gun. With the exact coordinates of their target the rail gun charges up preparing to fire....butt is destroyed completely by a sonic blast. Soundwave lands on the deck of the warship and destroys it utterly with the help of several minions.

Fallen teleports in steals the matrix as usual, Jetfire dies naturally rather than rip his own spark out, not before suggesting Prime take his parts. Ratchet does the transfer, with Jolt dead.

Final Battle: Megatron and The Fallen gang up on Optimus a bit with some success. Optimus fights back and while pummeling Megatron questions why he is serving under another when he is supposed to be the "Lord of the Decepticons". Megatron pays no heed and he and The Fallen eventually overwhelm Prime and subdue him, wanting him to see first hand the destruction of the Earth's sun before he dies. The Sun goes dark as the harvester begins to suck it's energy, Starscream arrives and makes a comment about Megatron not really being the one in charge and reminds him about his comment "he would be the one to possess the Sun Harvester". Megatron clearly annoyed knocks out Starscream and approaches The Fallen demanding his reward with Optimus defeated.

The Fallen laughs at him and explains he was nothing more than a pawn, telling him to leave while he stilll can. Megatron does not and instead fires his cannon at The Fallen sending him sprawling down the Pyramid/Harvester. The Fallen gets up and throws bricks, tanks etc. at Megatron using his powers, Megatron bats them aside. While the 2 of them battle, Bee, Lennox and Epps sneak by and manage to free Optimus. Prime destroys the Sun Harvester causing Megatron and The Fallen to briefly stop their fight and the light to return. Prime attacks them both maiming Megatron's face. With Megatron taken out Prime focuses on the Fallen beating him badly, The Fallen appeals to Megatron to aid him, but Megatron, Starscream by his side simply leaves telling Optimus it isn't over. Prime rips off his face cue Sam and Optimus and Optimus' speech, THE END. :D

Yes, that's another change I would make... getting rid of the dog humping. But I thought the baby booties bit was good.

That's exactly what I wanted as far as having Barricade be featured in ROTF... having played a part in going after Sam and friends. But I clearly want his fate to be known, if he's still alive after facing Ironhide or not.[/QUOTE]

Only a couple of things I would change:
-Heavily revise the pacing of the film, especially the second act. Egyptian adventure dragged on for far too long.
-More dialogue and screentime for the rest of the Autobots. Prime did almost all of the fighting in ROTF, even being dead for half of it. However, DOTM seems to be actively fixing this issue.
-Make the action more dynamic. This was also a location issue; I appreciate Bay's attempt to give us varied places for the fight scenes (nighttime city/forest/desert) but some clearly work better than others. The desert fight was clearly not planned out well and the result was boring. TF1 had engaging battles which consciously integrated both bots and humans. Again, DOTM is going back to what works.

A lot of these problems DOTM seems poised to correct, with a cap on the outrageous humor, a tighter cast, and more defined roles for the whole array of Transformers.

I would definitely change things up.

First of all, the pointless humor scenes (the college scenes, the home scenes, the Egypt exploration scene) would all be cut.

You would see Sam going to college and having his breakdown in class, but it would actually be explained that he absorbed the Allspark. This problem would be solved by him transferring it to the Matrix.

The Shanghai scene would remain mostly unchanged. Before Optimus storms into the hangar, he would look at the damage that Demolishor inflicted, and it would piss him off, thus explaining his execution. Optimus would already know of the Fallen through historical records and myths, which provides character development and shows what he did before the war.

Sideways would be replaced with Flatline, whom the Autobots would take prisoner and interrogate as to what the Fallen is looking for, with little success. Flatline's interrogation would provide character development for Skids, Mudflap, and Arcee, explaining why they are the way they are. Ratchet would be the interrogator for that aspect of things, as well as wondering what these experiments were for.

In the Forest Fight, and the scene leading up to it, Megatron would be replaced with Bludgeon, who would take up the role of fanatical loyalist, only to die in the forest alongside Grindor. Starscream would only escape with his life by fleeing as Grindor is getting killed. Basically, Optimus would not only survive the Forest Fight, he would win handily. Sam and Mikaela are taken back to Diego Garcia at Optimus's insistence, where Galloway tries to chew them out, at least until Optimus tells him to sit down and shut up.

Ravage and Soundwave's attack on Diego Garcia would be preceded by a planning session between the Fallen, Starscream, and Soundwave as to what to do with the Shard (of which there would only be the one that Optimus recovered at the end of the first movie). Soundwave wants to revive his Megatron, while Starscream is terrified at the prospect of Megatron returning. The Fallen decides to go through with it, what with the lack of a loyal, competent right hand.

Megatron's resurrection goes off as planned (only he gets a modified version of his original form, with hands similar to his DotM incarnation), but when Megatron returns to base, he kills and eats Starscream (yes, he literally eats him, demonstrating why Starscream was so afraid of him) as repayment for attacking him at Mission City. The Fallen then forces Megatron to obey him via a demonstration of his powers. Megatron only grudgingly goes along with it.

Optimus returns to Diego Garcia and resumes Flatline's interrogation, Taken style. He's had enough of the 'Cons' crap, and he's going to put an end to this war, no matter what he has to do to the Decepticons. He's tired of seeing good people get hurt. This would provide character development for the other Autobots, who are disturbed at this side of Optimus shining through. Optimus has always been the bastion, the unshakable. Seeing him at the end of his rope scares them, at least until he explains why he is not showing any more mercy.

With the information gleaned from Flatline's capture, the Autobots set out for the Matrix. However, the Decepticons, using the information they gleaned from Sam's mind, follow them to the Matrix Temple, which is hidden very close to the Pyramids. There, the Autobots meet the Matrix's guardian, Jetfire, who introduces the Prime Dynasty to Optimus.

Before Jetfire can give Optimus the Matrix, the Decepticons, Fallen and Megatron at the head, arrive. The climactic fight that originally took place in some random ruins instead takes place in the Matrix Temple. Ironhide and Chromia have an excellent back-to-back badasses moment against the Decepticon hordes, while Ratchet, Jolt, and Sideswipe hold the line against a platoon of drones led by Longhaul and Bumblebee fights Rampage. The copies thing would be explained by Flatline's experiments in Spark cloning. As is Devastator, who forms up and goes to excavate the Solar Harvester at Megatron's command.

Optimus and Jetfire, meanwhile, would fight Megatron and the Fallen, with the fight taking to the air, outside of Optimus's reach. There, Megatron and the Fallen murder Jetfire and flee with the Matrix.

As Jetfire lays dying, he begs Optimus to use his parts and stop the Fallen from abusing the Matrix and activating the Harvester. Ratchet and Jolt oversee the refitting, and Optimus flies out to fight the Fallen, Devastator, and Megatron alone.

Optimus battles Devastator alone, killing the titantic gestalt before proceeding to destroy the Harvester. The Fallen snaps as his plan falls down around his ears, and he and Optimus have an epic aerial battle that ends with Optimus taking his face and Spark chamber.

Megatron doesn't get involved at all in this final fight; with the Harvester destroyed, he decides to abandon the field. This serves two purposes: he gets to live to fight another day, and he gets to feed the Fallen to Optimus, possibly the only being capable of killing the Fallen. Megatron's final line of the movie, delivered with a malevolent smile, is "Even in death, there is no command but mine," the same line he whispered as he ate Starscream.

In the post production stage, I'd replace all the CG robot designs with recolored Mudflaps, as well as change all the names. Beeflap would still shoot the Applianceflaps, Megaflap would still turn into a tank and be abusive to Mudscream, and Mudflap Convoy will still die only to be glued together to Jetflap to take the face of The Flappen.
