My only thinking is that because of the WSTF Dinobots, it MAY eliminate the possibility of ever getting official Dinobot re-releases...look at the G1 combiners, even if Hasbro does have the molds the demand is WAY waterred down by the many bootlegs/knockoffs/resizes of the same 'bots. The WSTF Dinobots, and the recent multi color bootlegs (candy color and the neon green sets) may lead us down the same path in Hasbro/Takara's views...

 

Well since my brother collects Snarl and Swoop from Dinobots I am waiting for WST Grimlock, Sludge, and Slag. Hopefully rest of them will be released this year. As for reissue I don't think Takara will not do them just because there are KO/Bootlegs in the market. It depends more if they have the molds and if it's profitable to make them. Since they will probably reissue most of Season 1-3 TFs eventually it's only a matter of time before they'll get to Dinobots. That's why I am not in a hurry to get a MISB Grimlock because I don't want to regret my decision when Takara finally announces its release. A few years back I actually placed $500 on auction of Predaking giftset and lost. I would've kicked myself right now if I had won.

Could just be a commentary on the fact that this is a situation we've seen play out lots of times before. Some third party offers some cool TF-related item. Lots of fans pre-order to get this cool item. The intended release date comes and goes. They announce a "slight delay." We continue to wait.

More often than not, this situation has ended up with further delays, no item ever being released, and lots of angry fans.

None of this is to say that this is happening here. But much of this has all happened before....

I don't think anyone's asked for their money back, yet. (I know I haven't!) This is still an unfolding story, and the toys are barely a month late by the earliest stated release date. So far as we know, these toys will be beginning to ship tomorrow. All I meant by my previous post is that the fandom has been burned before, and that Nevermore's comment may simply reflect that fact. It may not reflect actual knowledge of a problem (beyond the already-known "slight delay"). If he knows more, I'm sure he'll let us know.

 

If it's a scam then it was a reasonably priced one.

 

Guys maybe he just meant that they might be getting sued because they are breaking the law. The company created a toy/collectors item based of an established character/toy owned by another company. Regardless of how cool or well made the toy is it's still wrong to do it
