What awful G1 figures would you like to see in the Classics line?

I was taking some photos of Classics Astrotrain and I started thinking about this.

Something like this may have been brought up before but I don't recall seeing it.

Hasbro has stated they have their short list of iconic characters to make figures of and if the line proves successful they may continue producing them. (Repaint potential probably plays some role in this too.)

That's all nice and well but I'm curious as to which of the worst toys from the G1 line would deserve a decent Classics treatment.

Broadside came to mind as a fairly ugly toy that could benefit from some serious redesign with modern toy technology.

Cyclonus could probably be done really nice (and I'm shocked that they didn't go with the much nicer variation shown during one of the Botcon panels this year).

While I don't think he's ugly I do have a soft spot too for the Technobot Afterburner and I'd love a modern redesigned detailed version of him. (My love of old school TRON probably comes into play here.)

Any of you have a "never going to be considered ugly non-iconic" G1 character/toy you'd like to see "Classicified"?

(Hmmm... Classicified is a brand new English word!)

Headmasters. All of 'em. Especially Brainstorm and Snapdragon, though.

Wheelie...seriously as the G1 toy was seriously lacking and maybe the the Constructicons! If Hasbro ever release Classic combiners, it would totally rock my world!

We totally need some rocklords. The transformers need something to cover behind and to sit on. Nah, they were too cool really. :)

I think we need a classics rachet and ironhide, those have got to have been the most woeful toys ever.

Wow KA. I hate the Wreck-Gar mold so much I totally forgot about it.

That idea would be fantastic and have a gimmick (interchangeable parts) to boot!

I definitely have to agree with the inclusion of Broadside! And if they made Classics Cosmos that would be sweet, the drawings were amazing...I never thought Cosmos could look cool!

Dare I say it... that is one of the few TF concept drawings that actually moved me to "kid-level" excitement!

My usual adult-filtered mind rarely gets worked up but man oh man that Cosmos just has to be made!

Can you imagine if they made a modern Twin Twist and he was also a jumpstarter too!

It was during Paul Hitchens panel.

He showed some pics of prototype figures.

One of them was a Cyclonus that was what the anime model sheets were derived from.

The "head spikes" or whatever you call them looked so much better.
