Not sure if this is the best place to put this thread but it will get moved if not.

So, what are you currently turned on to? I have been listening a lot to Rehab's new album, as the Bartender song got me hooked. The video is even cooler (JR FTW!):

Hank Williams Jr. - Bartender Song - SPIKE

Also been listening to a lot of Seether and Hinder lately, so maybe there is some sort of message here.

My brother sent my a cd by Vampire Weekend. Eh, not the greatest but its ok. I'm not really an indie guy, nor am I mainstream pop. I kinda like country, rock, and some hip hop. TI's new album is killer, and he is kinda stepping into Pac's shoes IMO with his lyrics and catchy beats (not the standard all-bass background that plagues rap nowadays).

TI?? Really?? Hmmm... Hip hop has been dead for me for a while now. I might have to check him out.

And I'm listening to football on TV and CCR on the computer.

Yeah, I went a long while - post Pac, Dre, Cube, etc. - during the Master P days, but recently started listening to TI's new album, and it's pretty tight. He has a couple of songs that, ala pac, he brings a message with some NICE beats. You'll like.

But I still have NWA to fall back on ;)

Back on a huge electronic kick at the moment, largely helped by Meat Beat Manifesto's new album, Autoimmune. Sickeningly good electronica.

Hmmm.... I think I'm going to buy it from itunes... should be $10-$15 right?
And funny you should mention NWA. I recently saw something on them on VH1. It totally brought back memories. Been listening again since.

The great thing about them was...every member had at least pretty decent success afterwards. I gotta crank Straigh Outta Compton every now and then and just chill!

Yeah, it really was a "super duper group". They had a message and delivered it. Too bad a lot of people didn't listen.

You know, my young nephews only really know Ice Cube from the films he's been in. Movies like "Anaconda" and "Are we there yet?". When I told them that the man was a bad ass rapper back in the day they just gave me this "yeah right" look... it was hilarious.

A mixture of Dragonforce, Rhapsody and Motoi Sakuraba "Tales Of" soundtracks just lately. Half to get me thinking "RPG" to work on that little game I've been writing since forever, and the other half mostly because I can.

Not really feeling any current artists, been listening to a lot of my 90's rap collection. Lots of Beastie Boys stuff, Tim Dog "Penicillin on wax," Gravediggaz "6 feet deep," and the first House Of Pain album.
