To anyone who now has Munitioner and Explorer to complete their Bruticus....how are you treating Universe Ultra Onslaught?

I don't even have Brute-Max or the add-ons but my Ultra Onslaught is put to the side in favor of Ultra Hardhead.

But If I'm able to obtain the Headrobots upgrade he'll go back on the shelf.

In my personal fiction, Onslaught seceded command of the Combaticons, so he could better serve as the Decepticon military operations commander.

Oh yeah...the Headrobot's upgrade for Hardhead is definitely a necessity.

    my guess is poorly...

I never got an Onslaught vibe from it. I had two, and I painted one white a long time ago, and kept the second for repaint fodder. I meant to do a Hot Spot from it, if you could imagine, but never got around to it.

I still treat him as Onslaught. I'm not anal when it comes to that sort of thing.

For me, the question is more "What are you doing with Ultra Onslaught now that you have Botcon Clench?" And the answer is, I'm going to sell him. I really try hard to keep only the rarest version of any mold.

Can always repurpose Ultra-Slaught as IDW Termoil anyway. They're close enough.

Yeah, that's what I'm doing with him. Plus, I get the feeling that a cool-headed guy like Onslaught never liked being with the Combaticons in the first place. And since IDW Grindcore is some sort of Onslaught lookalike, that's basically who I'm repurposing the new torso as.

Why is it an issue? You can't have more than version of a character in your collection?

I can't quite bear to part with him. He's actually packing one of Brut's shotguns, it works with his cop demeanor.

I have two largely different scale displays for classics anyway, so having two of the same character is no problem.

    I'm re-purposing and re-naming it into non-movieverse Barricade.

It's not that it's an issue. I was just wondering what people might be doing, such as repurposing, or going Radicon all over it.

Nothing. Dude remains as Onslaught. Has always been the case. :D

With FP's upgrade added onto those figures that forms the gestalt, he is best known as Bruticus but in name only.

Take 'em apart & you get Swindle, Blast Off & some random bots that you can call any names EXCEPT Onslaught, Brawl & Vortex. (IMHO) :drunk

Don't see the problem. I generally avoid buying multiples of the same character, but I already had G1 Bruticus when I got ultra Onslaught and I got him anyway. I just liked the mold in its own right.

I don't imagine he's selling for much these days, anyway. It was a shelf-warmer that I got for $15 (same with his brother, Hardhead).

Which really was sad, because he's a good toy, and a very nice Transformer.

I personally don't have Brute-Max or the FP upgrades (though I really want both), but Onslaught is always on the shelf or being played with, for me. (This is a bigger deal to me, than most of you, as I only have three small-medium shelves, and two desks, to keep these guys on.)

I bought a set of Wings of Honor reprolables, rubbed off the Decepticon logo, and stickered him up to be Wings of Honor Onslaught.

I'm considering using HFTD Hailstorm for that role. If I were to get an Ultra Onslaught I'd just work it like they did in RiD. Where Scourge leads them and the other 5 are the combiner. The combaticons have 6 members, Onslaught leads. The other 5 combine.
