I can't remember many (I had a bunch but either gave them away or lost 'em) but Unicron would definitely be at the top.

    Deluxe Optimus Prime
    Tidal Wave
    Wheeljack
    Megatron
    Unicron

... the rest really haven't aged well. Or rather, weren't all that great when they came out. Either their articulation is laughable or their gimmick crippled the figure or... something.

The only one I kept was deluxe prime, so I'd have to go with that one!

I was more or less going to write this. ^^

Megatron is probably my favorite for pure visual payoff: those huge shoulders, the "horns" on his head, the massive cannon... he just looks like a frightening badass. For poseability, it's definitely Deluxe Prime for the win.

Wheeljack and Tidal Wave are a bit blocky, but are definitely better representations of what the line produced.

Anyone want to start a "Worst Armada molds" thread? (Who would win that one? Sideswipe? Laserbeak?)

Deluxe Optimus is a simple but GREAT toy. Maybe the best of the line.

On the other hand, the only Armada I have permanently kept on display ever since the show aired and the toys came out is Powerlinx Optimus Prime in truck mode, towing Overload carrying Powerlinx Jetfire in space shuttle mode.

My other favorites are Tidal Wave, which is still an impressive figure to me, Megatron, and Sideways, who, while kind of disappointing in execution, I really like for the multiple Headmaster/switching factions gimmick.

Unicron and deluxe ops were good. I guess the Beast Wars repaints were good. I have a soft spot for Jetfire. And Jetfire still isn't actually good. Other than that, nothing.

Hmmm, not alot of love for the line it seems. Maybe I should ask for opinions on the top 15-20 A/E/C molds instead.

Thundercracker (one of the best repaints ever. Great mold.)

    Megatron

Deluxe Optimus Prime (love the Universe Ultra Magnus repaint)

Demolisher (the multiple repaints make nice army builders. Wouldn't mind seeing him repainted as pre Earth Slag)

    Jetfire (powerlinx repaint)

Sideswipe (I know most people hate him but I loved his portrayal in Worlds Collide. My only problem with the toy was that it wasn't a Scout.)

Tidal Wave (not spectacular, didn't like the head but it's a crime that he wasn't repainted as Broadside.)

Overload (love the Ultra Magnus repaint.)

Sideways (I love Headmasters and this guy had two. The Rapid Run repaint was cooler though.)

Sparkplug (Normally don't like tiny TF's but this guy had character, even for a Bumblebee homage.)

A lot of Armada molds have better repaints especially outside the line:

    Rapid Run
    Energon Ultra Magnus
    Universe Ultra Magnus
    Buzzsaw
    Energon Demolisher
    Astrotrain

I loved the Armada seeker mold when the line first came out, but as Energon and Cybertron improved upon Starscream, I started to lose interest in the Armada version. Now when I see that mold (especially the uber-garish Universe Ramjet*), I see a toy with very weird aesthetics, particularly in the arms. I also can't ignore that the sword looks like it was cut from a thick plank of lumber.

Still, when all is said and done, I'd probably still put Starscream on a Top 10 list of Armada molds, if only because I still remember how striking it looked to me in 2002.

    *and I'm a G2 fan!

I can't believe I forgot to mention Unicron.

And I really liked the Armada Starscream toy, although I've seen it get a lot of criticism. *shrug* I thought it was great.

If you count minicons, or minicon teams I guess, I think you could get a decent list going. Armada wasn't a large line anyways (before you get to the minicons) and with the lack of posability that makes compiling a top ten of the "normal" figures harder to do.

    For me:

    Unicron
    Deluxe/Supercon Optimus Prime
    Tidal Wave
    Jetfire
    Megatron
    Air Defense Team/Star Saber
    Street Action Team/Perceptor
    Emergency Team
Overload (one of the most prominent bricks, but a nice one to me)
Hoist (I have a fascination with this mold that I can't logically explain)

Armada was really a step backwards as toys go. Most of them were missing crucial points of articulation. Many were severely under-detailed. Others were simply crippled by horrible gimmicks.

Out of the ones I have, the best are probably Deluxe Prime, Tidal Wave, Demolishor, and Blurr.

There's at least a few good molds in Energon: Starcream, Landmine, Megatron/Galvatron, isn't bad.
Mirage/Dreadwing is a personal favorite. Shockblast(wave) is popular.

The Autobots are generally seen as a bit more limited becasue of the combining gimmick, but i rather like Rodimus.

Cybertron, Prime, Ransack, Crumplezone, Starcream, esp. if you can get the Voyager in the normal colors, was only released overseas in that color scheme. There are a bunch of others, probably, but i've forgotten them TBH.

Leobreaker is an absolutely rancid toy, imo.
