I've seen the word on the cyberstreet is that TFA is being put to bed in terms of the show after Season 3 and the toyline pretty much right now.

Of course without official word it is neither here not there.

Then of course of out the dark comes the announcement of a TFA Voyager Blackout along with a new "WingBlade Prime" which is ironic given Prime announced in Transwarped that he needs to learn how to fly?!?

Couple that with the Botcon exclusives featuring atleast 3 remoulds destined to be part of the Animated line. This begs the question of why issue exclusives to fit inside a defunct toyline.

Then of course we have seen some 10 new characters + appear in TFA Season 3 opener Transwarped which begs the question would Hasbro back out of the chance to monetize a bunch of new characters for the line despite the reported poor sales (Which I can't verify or disregard).

So with a Blackout figure on the way, why go half-baked and release a new figure or two just before a rumoured halting of production.

So what is your take on the word on the cyberstreet placed next to announcements of new toys for TFA? Will we see a Rodimus, Perceptor & Brawn toy or not?

I don't think ANYTHING is guaranteed at this point...

Also, the Botcon figs? Don't fit in with the TFA style at all. IDK how you'd display them together...

I think we'll get Cybertron Ratchet, Blackout and Wingblade Prime at the minimum, after that, who knows...

Hasbro said in the recent Q&A round that the Animated toyline would continue through 2009 with characters from Season 3.

Well, we allready got Oil Slick, Jet Twins, Waspinator.
    Blackout is comfirmed.
Ironhide is a possible repaint of Cyb. Ratchet.
And, in a thread, I think he said that rodimus would be a Deluxe, and the last one in 2009
    at that.
    EDIT* Found the post
Because of the Univerese toys, we probably won't get Hotshot or Cyclonus.

So, we probably won't get all of them, just some, made only half.

I think a Sari toy now that she is starting to look more robotic would be cool, maybe a accessory fig to Bumblebee.

    Need Rodimus though.

A Sari figure would be pretty cool. But then again, she can't transform. Maybe something FansProject or Unicron.com could do.

My previous stance was that if they release a Dai Atlas I'd be a happy camper.

Having seen Transwarped on Youtube this morning... Hasbro would be incredibly daft not to have a whole series of new toys. I don't see how any kid who saw it couldn't have loved it.

It all depends if they are going to end it or not.... the way it's going I think we will see some new figures come this summer going up against Revenge of the Fallen figures...

I'd say the chances don't look really good.

Laugh but I was a fan of GI Joe Sigma Six and even though they had finished up the mock ups on several figures once the cartoon was gone the figures were gone as well even though they had not covered all the characters in the show yet.

Only hope might be if cartoon style continues with the next show being something like Animated only with a new name.

I'm not getting my hopes up at all. I'm even expecting arcee to be cancelled. At least this way any news would be good. Also my universe Hot Shot I just got from HTS is going in with my animated collection now.

I'd be surprised if we never see the toys that already have molds made for them.
Those things are expensive to make, and it be wasteful to not use them.

Hasbro also hinted at a new Wheeljack toy, but were a bit vague on which line it would be in. (with Universe on hitas, there's a good chance it's Animated)

Same approach I'm taking. I'm figuring that we won't get another new wave of figures before the line is yanked from the shelves, then that's that. If I'm wrong and we get Soundblaster, Arcee, and more, then fan-freaking-tastic!

We will be getting a lot based on recent info from both online pre-orders and Hasbro Q&A.
