I do not know if this discussion is not allowed here and i am not trying to make this innapropiate but this is a serious question so please take this seriously. a couple days ago i woke up and it felt like the back of my thrat was sore and i just thought i had a sore throat so the next day i looked in my bathroom mirror and i saw 7 litte white sore sports in the roof of my mouth towards the back. These are painful and i have no idea on how and why they are these i had these white sore spots before but not a lot i had a couple on the inside of my lip and on my gum one time. It is painful quite a bit when i wake up in the morning and my mouth is all dry. I looked up on the internet and said it was something called a canker sore maybe Idk. I am seriously not trying to make this thread innapropiate i only had these for about 2-3 days. any answers.

Well, they sound like canker sores since they can appear on the back of the roof of your mouth along with other parts of your mouth, but that's just what (as you said) the internet brought up. If you're not sure, then you can always ask your doctor, especially if the sores get worse.

Those aren't canker sores. Sounds like strep throat.

    Or tonsillitis.

If they are canker sores take some vitamin B. Last year I had terrible cankers all over my mouth and that was the ONLY thing that helped. That being said, at the back of your throat? That may be something else...

You say there are seven of them? I would go down to a clinic and have that looked at, especially if it is painful. If they prescribe viscous Xylocaine, (it's a local anesthetic) ask for something else. I was prescribed it for a gash in my mouth and it did not work.

Canker sores don't appear in a cluster all at once like that. Cankers appear when the lining of your mouth gets damaged and your immune system basically over-reacts and forms a red bump with a white center that's very painful. You could have 2 or 3 at a (bad) time, but they form independently and wherever (not in a cluster).

You should go get checked by a doctor, I'd suspect strep throat.

Oh and for anyone who does suffer from canker sores, take this advice: switch to a toothpaste that does NOT contain SLS (Sodium Laurel Sulfate). SLS is a foaming agent in almost all toothpastes that dries the mouth lining and really promotes cankers. After switching to a non-SLS toothpaste I went from 5-6 bad cankers a month to 2 or three a YEAR.

Tyga tim I would gargle with some water to help and one thing I have done that helps is to put salt directly on the little buggers. Keep in mind it is an open wound and it will burn/ hurt. If the pain gets to bad try Kanka or Colgate sells a paste for mouth sores I can't recall the name.

Goaliebot that's some good advice about the toothpaste, I never knew that.
