NO! I did not have fun. I haven't enjoyed the hunt in a long time. I enjoy the NJCC and finding a deal. Finding more bumblebees and 4 wave old prime figures is NOT fun.

It only costs me 70 dollars a month because I use a bus pass to get around.

Driving to Botcon this year, I wasted about $30 of gas in Longview, TX looking for Deluxe Knock Out and Vehicon from wave 3 (that had just been spotted in TX a few weeks earlier). But I had a friend with me and it ended up being a fun little side-quest... But driving in Dallas for the first time was a pain in the ass. Needless to say, I found them both about a month later at a Target my friend works at, and he set them both to the side for me.
Which that particular Target is about 4 gallons of gas round trip, and at $3.50 a gallon ($14) + $30 for the figures + $2.40 for tax, hunting down those two figures ran me approximately $76.40. Basically $38.20 a pop. Now I just either preorder online, or when I go to Walmart for groceries or happen to be on the same side of town as TRU, I'll make a quick stop, and if I get lucky, I get lucky; if I don't, then I don't.

Eh, the nickles and dimes don't bother me. Sure, if I'm determined to get a specific, singular figure, I'll order it online, but to be frank, that rarely happens. I'm just running errands so much that the hunt just gets factored in, even when I'm not actively looking for anything.

I don't make special trips to the stores, I only stop by when I'm out and about anyway. So for me personally, there's no hidden cost.

The hunt blows. I refuse to drive around to look at bumblebees.

I agree with OP 100%. Plus there is one more factor - when I go looking, I end up buying other stuff I did not intend to.

I kinda agree with you. G1 Bumblebee was great. The new Bumblebee i'm not a big fan of. Having no voice he seems more like a pet or something.

As for being on topic to the post I agree. If i'm out and about I will look for a figure. I won't make a special trip anymore. It's easier to just find it online, even if it costs more than regular retail. In the end it saves you time and what you save in gas you come out better or even.

I agree. These days, I rarely hunt for TF, I mostly attend events or get stuff online, or rely on heads ups from friends.
