I would have to say it's a tie between Jetfire and Mirage.

Jetfire is pure awesomness with all of his homage shizzle going on, and mirage is just a pile of articulated G1 goodness from top to bottom.

EDIT: And I can't vote in this poll.

I'll have to go with Jetfire just because it's so well done; nice mix of the different G1 toon and toy he was based off of. Megatron gets second for play value.

Even though I can not vote in this poll, and I do not have it yet, I vote for Jetfire.

Why can't I vote in the poll?

I think in terms of awesomeness it's Jetfire, this is the first true G1 jetfire since forever
In terms of engineering, it's gotta go to Optimus Prime, very articulated and awesome weapons that all transforms into a very believeable alt. mode.

Don't have Grimlock and Mirage due to HTS blunders, so that's my two cents for now

I'd rank the 4 that I have as follows:

    1. Optimus
    2. Megatron
    3. Starscream
    4. Rodimus

From what I've seen online, I'd rank them like this:

    1. Optimus
    2. Megatron
    3. Magnus
    4. Skywarp
    5. Mirage
    6. Ramjet
    7. Cliffjumper
    8. Starscream
    9. Bumblebee
    10. Rodimus
    11. Astrotrain
    12. Jetfire
    13. Grimlock

I really don't like the fact that Jetfire's arms don't transform at all. I don't like using the dino head as Grimlock's feet, nor do I like the fact that Grimlock's alt mode is a mostly old-school Tyrannosaurus. BW 10th Megatron has a much better alt mode in my opinion.

The Optimus/Magnus mold kicks all kinds of ass, though Magnus' color scheme drags him down below Megatron for me. Of the jets, Skywarp ranks the highest due to his color scheme. Starscream and Skywarp have posability issues that Ramjet doesn't have due to the different wing placement. Plus Starscream's head stands out in jet mode.

Mirage looks nice, with awesome posability. I never really cared for Bumblebee, though the mold looks good. Cliffjumper would rank higher if not for his silly paint scheme. Astrotrain is hurt most by his "train" mode, though his robot mode is sweet. Rodimus is good, but has issues with posability in the arms.

I'll be getting Magnus, Skywarp, Ramjet, and Mirage once they're all available. Maybe Cliffjumper too if I can find a worthy opponent for him. (Thundercracker, Thrust, or Dirge would make worthy opponents.)

I think I would've love Mirage more if his shoulders could slide down more, like so:

I can't vote in this poll. Why, lord, why can't I vote in this poll? Why hast thou forsaken me?!?!?!

Ahem. Anyway, Jetfire looks very nice, but I don't have it yet so not going to vote for it sight-unseen. Of the figures I have, Optimus Prime and Megatron are the clear front-runners; the Deluxes all have some problem or another that keeps me from being highly enthusiastic about them. I'd vote for Megatron, because I like the colour scheme, the transformation is fun and it's a damn imposing toy (especially set against the other Classics).

Ranking all of the 'true' Classics (excluding Minicons, reissue Soundwave and DVD 20th Prime) that are out or we've seen pictures of; asterisks mark those I don't own...

    (1) Jetfire *
    (2) Megatron
    (3) Optimus Prime
    (4) Skywarp *
    (5) Ramjet *
    (6) Starscream
    (7) Ultra Magnus *
    (8) Mirage
    (9) Astrotrain
    (10) Rodimus
    (11) Grimlock
    (12) Cliffjumper *
    (13) Bumblebee

The Seeker mold is excellent, so it's largely down to colour scheme preference on that one. Grimlock would be a lot higher on my list, but the annoying problems with the shoulders in robot mode drops it down significantly. The Bumblebee mold is, IMO, very weak, but Cliffjumper has the better colour scheme.

Seriously, this is the worst poll ever. Why bother even polling?

Jetfire, no doubt. This guy is so much fun, I keep picking it up and transforming it; I'm not sure the last time I had this much fun with a TF was.

After that, it gets tough (Since you're asking so far, and Skywarp isn't out yet.), but since the question is only which is the best, there's my answer. Jetfire, hands down, no question.

Out of the three I have (Rodimus, Bumble Bee and Megatron) I'd say Rodimus. It'll probably change once I get Prime, Jetfire and Grimlock
