Some of these have been sitting on my desk for a while. But when the first reviews of TFPrime Screamer came out a few months back, I said immediately "That's Slipstream!" So I got the toy, played with it, loved it, and sure enough, it was Slipstream. I wanted to rush and get her done so I'd be the first on the web. YAY! (Probably failed in that matter.)
I remolded the chest with putty and added some antenna to the ears, shortening the chin. I have her a dry brushing in black to give her a more WFC feel. The colors match in robot mode but are kinda reverse in jet mode (Pink should be at the front.) There's just no good way to do that I think.

I love the concept and it does work really well for the character. However the painting on the chest could use some definate smoothing, but still a really cool idea.

Really nice mods and all but you may want to do a few more coats on it then it would look perfect

I am seeing Starscream in drag... It scares me...

Anyways you did a good job, I like the paint job personally.

I can see how Prime Starscream would make for a good Slipstream since he is so slender already. Unfortunately, what you said about rushing to get this done is painfully apparent. There's no nice way to say it... the paint job is pretty bad.

Yeah, I rushed. I do think that maybe what people are reacting to is the black wash/dry brushing, rather than the painting (although I did smudge the face.) And the chest is lumpy from molding.

Anyways, passable, not awful, not stellar.

Well that's good that to you it is passable. I assume you did it for yourself anyway.
You may be right about the "wash", since it kinda gave it the look of having been dipped in oil. If you stripped the paint away, sanded the lumpy parts, and took your time giving her a clean paint job, I do think this could look even more passable. :)

This is a brilliant use of this mould! One of the few things I just cannot accept about TF prime (besides the re-hashed bayblebee) is their starscream, who looks like such a woman! Definately more like a Slipstream. I'm going to buy this figure only to do what you did. Great work!

wow I'm kinda surprised this didn't happen sooner? Don't get me wrong its awesome! But I think a Shapeway head is NEEDED for this mod to work out perfectly, yours is awesome but... it does look like 'Screamer in drag.. REALLY good drag! but sill drag... Needs some loss of chest, especially in the middle (you know build up her "asset's") by remove whats NOT needed, and maybe rework those shoulders!

I agree that it's a good idea. It just needs some work to bring it up to the level it should be.

It's amazing how SS's head does actually take on a more feminine appearance when you
shorten the chin like that! I wonder if Prime Arcee's head could fit in its place......

I just tried that. The SS ball joint is a little small but I'm sure that can easily be fixed.

Man I've been anxiouos to get my hands on a SS prime to do just this so it's awesome to see it. All in all the idea is there but your paint/drybrushing got a bit sloppy.
