WFC Sqwawk Minion by Treadshot A1 on Shapeways Available here, for $9 in WSF.

http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radic...ions-soundwave-mod.html?highlight=WFC+Ravager Here's a tutorial on a very easy mod that allows all my minions to fit into WFC Soundwave's chest.

    EDIT: Painted (more pics here)

EDIT: Painted, "Beak" Colours (More pics here)

Hey guys! I just got my Shapeways parcels in today, and this is one of the models i got. The WFC Sqwawk Minion.

Now, my original plan was to paint this into my version of WFC Sqwawktalk. I have a Bird Minion (two, to be exact), to paint into Buzzsaw and Laserbeak. But having them in hand, i've decided that WFC Sqwawk Minion is the only one i'll release. Because it's the best. And i only release the best stuff. ;)

This model, like WFC Ravager Minion, fits into WFC Soundwave's chest in SSD (Solid State Drive) form. I've designed it to be as bird-like as possible (though i dropped biology 2 years ago :D ), with a generic-ness so as to not only serve as all three of Soundwave's avian pals, but also to keep a drone-ness about him.

I'll post pictures of him later. This sample i printed in WSF, and i'll be painting mine into Sqwawktalk colours. I hope to get two more soon for Buzzsaw and Laserbeak.

If that's a Sqwawktalk, does that mean there's a Beastbox coming? Cause I'd be down for several WFC Gorilla minions

I have the first prototype of Beastbox with me, but some proportions are off, so I'm looking to redesign that one. They won't combine, though.

    Like it. :)
I would recommend tweaking the head a bit, see if you make it more beaky-looking, but otherwise it's very cool.
Pity about the lack of combinationability, though. :p

Deaculpa makes a lot of sense - The bird legs being all upfront like this kind of throws the whole 'bird' look into question and the beak structure isn't terribly evocative of a bird either.

Liking how much your progress with these is coming along...This one is pretty much a must-have for me, though I do agree that the head could be a bit better defined.

    Keep up the great work!

Really? I'm going to have to disagree. While I agree the legs are a bit far forward (screw biological accuracy :lol ), the wings and tail just wouldn't fit Ratbat, IMO.

Thanks bro. I await the day when I see you releasing stuff. Hopefully after I've made my fortune. :lol

Is it immature to blame Sketchup for the head? Because it totally is Sketchup's fault, for not letting me taper the head any more. ;)

Thanks. The Fremble moulds. There a two mould like that, one of which I have already, the prototype, and the other which is apparently in production. The latter is the only one that will ever see the light of day, and I'm guessing that it'll arrive sometime next week.

Sorry the pics are a bit blurry. My camera sometimes hates me. :D

Anyways, can't wait to get two more in the mail for Saw and Beak. I am working on a Gorilla Minion, though as previously stated they won't combine.

I got 2 more in the mail recently, this being one of them. I think it looks pretty good in these colours, and different enough from Sqwawk. :)

The red and black looks really good; a little silver detailing on the winds could really make him pop, though.
I definitely like the colourscheme better than Squawk's personally, but I do think he'd work better as more of a turquoise than that bright pea green, anyway.

I hear ya, bro. Some wing detailing would make it shine, but for now I'm trying to paint only the molded detail, so people won't get confused about what's there and what isn't, if you know what I mean.
