Really?

This is no different than a poster or gift card that a retailer might give you for buying product from them. For whatever reason, as soon as you make these freebies (yes, FREE) digital content, everyone feels like they are getting cheated out of something core to the game (which it's not).

 

And besides, they're pre-order Characters. You're acting as if you're missing entire parts of the game. Just because the game has 3 characters you can only get through pre-order means the game's incomplete? Are you reading what you typed correctly?

 

Eh, some people are always going to hate on stuff like this.
Im 90% certain people complaining about this dont care remotely about Demolisher, they just dont like having to pick between G1 characters.

 

And on top of all of this, the character can only be used in Escalation mode.

The Character can only be used in that mode, but the chassis/character model can be used in any multi player mode.

 

I have been trying to tell people months ago that the codes could only be used once. I am picking up my game from Best Buy and they informed me that the codes will be e-mailed to me so the code sheet is not in the box. That's why they wanted you to pre-order if they put the code in every box it would not matter if you pre-ordered or not cause everyone could get the bonus.

 

Except the website states that the code is in the box and doesn't say anything about it being emailed out.

The whole thing with Best Buy is bungled.

 

That all depends on how you put your order in at Best Buy. If you made your preorder from their website you will be e-mailed the code within 24 hours. If you placed it in the store then they will give you the card. I have placed several orders with Best Buy and they have all been through the site and I have always had the e-mail waiting for me when I got home.

 

None of my Best Buy stores offered an in-store pre-order, so it is still inconsistant.

 

Hey, at least you got a chance. You know what? In most if not all of the PAL territories besides the UK is not getting any exclusive. Or at least no website says so. So there's no chance I'm getting Shockwave, Jazz or Demolisher. Not even a comic!

 

My bestbuy didn't offer preorders, but I went in this morning and bought the game. Jazz code is in the sealed box. I'm guessing the first 5 or 10 copies bestbuy gets just have the code in them. if they ran preorders, those get set aside. if not they are just on the shelf.

 

WFC Preorder Code Trades

I for some reason got the XboX code by mistake for my shockwave. I got it fixed and have Shockwave for PS3 now, but still kept the XboX code since I had already tried to use it.


So I was wondering, willing to trade my Shockwave code for XboX for their Demolisher Code for PS3?
