Well, here's my take on this guy. Krylon fusion black (flat and gloss), steel and silver drybrushing, enamel highlights, alclad chrome and klear, red panel lining, model master flat clear, custom decals, and scratch built sword that attaches via magnet. I had a lot of fun painting this figure. As always, C&C welcome. Thanks for looking!
Awesome work! The red Decepticon symbol on alt mode kinda looks a little out of place, though. I would've gone with the purple autobot symbols a-la Shattered glass.
DUDE!!! This is incredible looking man. I love all the detail work you did on his alt. mode and the bits on his bot mode even more. You really hit this one out of the park.
That is freakin awsome. I do have one question for you though, why is he a mix of our universe decepticons and the shattered glass universe? Purple on the sholders and red on the hood. Just wondering.
You know, I never made that shattered glass connection. I just thought the red logo on the alt mode went with the red details better. I suppose I should change that, huh. I have a ton of decals left over, I may just change the shoulder logos to red, too.
It be a twist to the Shattered franchise. I think you should go for it! I know that the colors are supose to be at least a little different then our universe but that rule isnt set in stone. "And behold, Shattered Glass Nemesis Prime arises, after an unusual scan of Prime, the decepticons took the protoform in the likeness of there sworn enemy to there side to have one of the greatest edges on the Autobots they have ever had." That might be a little drawn out but you get the gist of what im thinking.
I like this idea, but I kinda want my Nemesis Prime to be....evil, you know? I think I'll switch out the hood decal for the purple version. I gotta be more mindful of the rules next time!
Ha ha, yeah. He's going on the black convoy shelf. Along with MP Black Convoy, Armada NP, RiD Scourge, RiD Scourge (destructicon), RiD Spychanger Scourge, Alternity Black Convoy, Alternators NP, Shadow Commander, WST Black Convoy, Jafcon Prime, and this ROTF Leader NP that some dude painted for me.
I love the panel lines. This is one badass custom. He does look very evil. I must also say that the red Decepticon symbol does throw the alt mode off just a bit. I can't wait until I can find these figures in my area. GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!
