Ohh I'm sooo excited (and touched too!) to get feedbacks from all of YOU great customizers here. I've been a fan of your custom works & it's truly an honored to have your attention here SoN: Thanks for your great advised; alchohol is bit scary for me coz if add too much it become abrasive & scrap the paint, so I'm still learning to get the right mixture
Thanks guys! Well your comments that he looks "glowing" (I actually never noticed that lol!) makes me compare the photos against the actual figure. The colour is almost the same but that "glow" effect I guess might have came from the lighting inside my light tent & the setting of my camera...
Well if I leaved it to dry naturally I think its about half to 1 hour, but if I'm impatient I just blow it with hair dryer and it takes not even a minute to dry
About the thinning the paint..why do it? Can't you get the same effect without thinning? What are the advantages of doing it?
I thin the paint to ease the application job. The paint runs smoothly so you get smoother effect & nice texture (I mean in drybrushing). The paint right from the bottle is too thick in my opinion. But be careful too much thinner is dangerous because it will become abrasive.
I'm not a fan of what looks like an orange face on Megatron, but the rest of the work that you've done looks absolutely gorgeous. - Alty
Hi Endwar, you did a spectacular job on the dry brushing. How exactly did you get the lines to pop like that? Can you do a brief explanation of how you applied the technique? Thanks
I think that answers your question.I was wondering the same until I read through the thread. This a awesome Megatron.I've seen this edges style done by a couple of customizers on here and now I know.Thank you so much for sharing the technique.I have to try this now.
The way you painted this Megatron, it has a almost alive str8 out the game feel to it. Most impressive technique and delivery indeed.
