    Hi guys,

First of all I must say big thanks to my good friend; Scotscream for his tips & advised on the drybrushing techniques. This guy is super cool to share his knowledge & experience although this means he might be losing a customer...:p  (well, not really I guess, heh!)

So, here it is the result & improvement that I’m able to achieve so far… I’m still learning & practicing on how to get a better tones/shades & textures.

    C&C are welcome.

I'm not a huge fan of the rust/orange colors, but holy crap, that is some kick ass painting!! I absolutely love the way you painted the grey parts.

You've been taught how to do these painting techniques, you say. Now that you clearly master them, will you teach us? :D

Thanks for the compliment man. Nah, I'm not yet mastering the techniques, but yeah sure I can share with you about what I did:

    1. The secret lies in the name itself- "drybrush"... I think everyone know this; make sure there are just little paint left on the brush (like dust to be exact) before applying onto the figure.
    2. Clean your brush regularly during drybrushing (recommended after every 3 times you dip it into the paint--this was taught by my "teacher" Sir Scotscream :) ).
    3. For white/gray parts: first I apply the basecoat (black), then drybrush with 2 layers of gray, and finally with 2 layers of white (concentrating on the edges of the figure). Just FYI I'm using Tamiya acrylics paint, all the colours used are came straight from the bottle (just thin them with water/thinner).
    4. But the most important (& the hardest) thing is: Patience!

    :)

Try thinning with alcohol, it's a lot better IMO than water considering Tamiya paints are alcohol based. Meggie looks freekin awesome, I especially like the color toning on the black parts.

Looks very clean, very precise - nicely done! "The glow" is interesting - intentional on this figure (if so, very good), more noticeable in the photos than in natural light, or is it a case of not having found the colour & contrast balance you want yet?
