Need to make a choice between the two. I'm only getting one since I have enough money from my allowance for 1 figure.

EDIT: Forgot to add a poll. Sorry.

WFC Megatron. I've got one for sale, 7.50$ shipped.

You can surely afford that, and surely it'll be a long time before you find a better price!

It depends which character you prefer. They both look decent enough in bot-mode. But are a bit of a letdown in alt-mode. I had a similar decesion to make (at a convention) and went for Megatron

Soundwave. He was the run away success of the WFC toys for me. He is just awesome and feels vert imposing for his size.

Megatron. The overall proportions and gaps in alt mode of Soundwave kinda kill it for me. Still a good figure but second to Megatron.

Megatron's more impressive as a figure overall. Soundwave is a fun homage to his G1 self, but isn't very imposing in bot mode, making him seem too scrawny in comparison to other figures.

EDIT: Ha! Just saw Rigas' post above. I guess the consensus is save up for both.

Tough choice. Both are amazing figures. My vote goes for Megatron simply because he is the on i prefer more out of the two.

I see less soundwaves in the stores then megs. I'd get him. I have both but haven't opened megs yet since he's for a custom. Friend says Megs is a prety freakin awesome figure. I'm not a fan of the look of Soundwave, mostly the hooks. His chest opens though and people are making "cassettes" that will fit.

Make a pros cons list and whichever has the most pros, for you, get first.

First off, I love both of these figs. Megatron is all around awesome, but Soundwave has so much going on for him. I have a softspot for transformers with weapon storage. Also, Soundwave has a boombox fan mode.

    I've gotta suggest soundwave.

I love both versions but if I had to choose 1 to get first it would be Megatron.

Megatron gets my vote. He's surprisingly big and bulky for a Deluxe, and has a very imposing feel to him. The only real issue is that his vehicle mode is kind of a block with a cannon on it (and flip down treads, which helps loads)

If you can get both, go for both. If you can only get one, I'd suggest Megatron first and foremost.

    Megatron. Vastly superior toy IMO.

I love both for Various reasons.

Megatron takes the cake though. Simplistic yet entirely effective in both modes.

Soundwave's robot mode is lacking a little bit in the proportions department, and the asswheels hurt relaxed arm stances.

They're both great, and really you should try and save for both, but if you're going to get one first with the possibility of skipping the other one, Megatron is your best bet.

They are both insanely awesome, and two of my very favorite toys to be released recently. I'll go with Soundwave, but it's very close.
