I just received a MISB Generations Cybertronian (War for Cybertron) Megatron. First I'd like to say I have no idea why I waited so long to add this guy to my collection. Aside from this very weird installation error I encountered, I am very pleased with this figure. Really nice representation of WFC Megatron. Onto the weird part. As I was transforming him into his alt mode for the first time, I found I could not properly transform his right shoulder. No matter what I did, it would not sit in the slot where it was supposed to go. I had no problems with left shoulder, it aligned perfectly against the chest and it's intended slot. However, the right one would not budge. After several attempts of moving the right shoulder (I am surprised I didn't break the thing), I finally decided to unscrew the panels and take a look inside. What I discovered was that the shoulder/arm was installed incorrectly onto the ratcheting joint. They placed it in upside down. Here is a pic: After I saw this, I simply removed the arm, rotated the joint, and then put the arm back in in it's original position. The joint now looks like this: That was definitely the problem, considering the front of the figure now went from this: to this: Anyway, I've never encountered anything like this on a Transformer. Granted I haven't been collecting for as long as some of you guys, but I feel I've been around enough and have collected enough to find this strange. I've also gone through quite a few different WFC Megatron reviews, and no one has mentioned anything like this. Or am I wrong? Is this sort of thing known to happen with official TF products? Btw, I wasn't quite sure where to put this thread. It wasn't a modification or a custom, so I thought the Toy thread would work best. My apologies if it belongs somewhere else.
