*WIP, obviously. I need to track down a second WFC BB. Obviously, you wouldn't use sticky tape! EDIT: There will now be two version of the kit (v4 and v4.1) Please see here for more information WFC Insect Leader v4 WFC Insect Leader v4.1 Thanks to Anti-Venom for continually pushing me to test this kit. I'm glad he did, as it turned out great! First of all, look at my avatar. That's my custom Classics Shrapnel, made from a Classics Bumblebee. I've since done an Animated version from Animated BB, and it is still my favorite and signature conversion. But the WFC version lacked anything really Shrapnel like. Classics had the jet pack which could serve as horns. Animated had the electrical stingers. WFC? Well, aside from looking like a bug and being round, it really had nothing to make it work as Shrapnel. This is the solution. This is WFC Insect Leader. Designed by me and produced by Shapeways, this kit comes in 4 parts. The ILAP (Insect Leader Adaption Profile), two HBA (Horn Battle Armor) and of course, Shrapnel's head. The ILAP is to be glued to the roof of the car, and then the other parts simply plug into it. The head replaces the original, it fits right on the existing ball joint. But i'll let the pics do the talking. I tried to emulate G1 Shrapnel's silhouette as best i could with the horns in robot mode, which sit comfortably behind the shoulders, so there's little effect on articulation. The holes in the ILAP are all 5mm holes, so the existing gun can be placed on top of the car mode in case on desired extra firepower. The car mode was inspired by Robot Wars, in the sense that the two HBA serve to create a ramp at the front, with a pretty low ground clearance. The idea is that Shrapnel can simply drive up to, and then underneath another TF, in the process hopefully flipping it over. Anyways, i'll paint it up as soon as i get a spare BB (don't want to sacrifice this one ). Hope you guys like it so far. I'll link to its Shapeways page where you can get one if you so choose.
