Links: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radic...ions-soundwave-mod.html?highlight=WFC+Ravager This is a very easy mod that allows all my Minions to fit inside WFC Soundwave! Do it! WFC Eject Minion by Treadshot A1 on Shapeways(WFC Eject Minion) WFC Rewind Minion by Treadshot A1 on Shapeways (WFC Rewind Minion) WFC Flip Minion by Treadshot A1 on Shapeways (WFC Flip Minion) WFC Rose Minion by Treadshot A1 on Shapeways (WFC Rose Minion) Heh. Shapeways must've felt guilty or something. They sent me utter bullshit about printing difficulties with small parts, and the next day these fellas get here. The WFC Ejectoid Minions!!! Yes, Ejectoid. That means all four of the minions that were based off the WFC Eject Minion design (WFC [Eject/Rewind/Flip/Rose] Minion). And they're all here, intact! On to ze pics!!! (Left to right: WFC Eject Minion, WFC Rewind minion, WFC Flip Minion, WFC Rose Minion) (Below: Eject posing. As you can see, movement in arms and legs is possible, but of course care needs to be taken.) (With Soundwave. I plan to make a Blaster later, but until then..) (Rewind, slightly scared of climbing into feared Decepticon, Soundwave) (We managed to convince Rewind it was safe to slide into Soundwave) (See? Nothing to be scared of. It's a perfect fit!) So, what separates these 4? Well, look at the lower legs. They all use different symbols engraved into their legs. Eject/Rewind Minions use the respective symbols we all know from our DVD players. Flip uses a play symbol on one leg, which is mirrored on the other, to represent her allegiance-switching exploits. Rose uses the letters K and P, one on each leg, and you are all smart enough to know what that stands for. So, how do they transform to fit into WFC Soundwave's chest? Well, it's simple. They don't. They don't need to transform. They can simply slide right into Soundwave with no problems whatsoever. So there's no need to worry about fragility of joints during transformation or anything, because they don't need to. Great, right? Now, just like with Calyx, these guys and gals run on 1mm stemmed ball joints. They shouldn't snap in transit (i have 4 success stories right here!), but a thin coat of superglue on the ball to strengthen them can't hurt, i guess. I personally have not done this, as i feel on my copies they are plenty sturdy enough, but if you intend on posing them a lot (which really, you shouldn't), then it is a recommendation. I also keep a pin vise on hand when i get my orders, so i can widen any joints that Shapeways might have printed too small, just a precaution. But who cares, they're all awesome! Buy them now! EDIT: Eject is painted! (more pics here) WFC Flip Minion joins the party! More pics here.
