So, this is my first custom.
I decided to have a go at creating a WFC Blaster, based on the existing WFC Soundwave figure. I really liked the design and scale of this figure over the more recent FOC variant. So, since it was clear a Blaster version wasn't going to happen, I figured i would have to take matters into my own hands.

I purchased a 3rd party Blaster rifle to kit him out with a weapon suitable of his name. It is meant to be used on the FOC version. So, on my WFC figure, it looks huge. But, I kinda like it. After all, he is called Blaster. Sounds like he needs a big gun to me.

This custom is really a culmination of a chain of events, along with 2 other customs, that stemmed from one central figure - henkei bumblebee (with a Renderform head) that I purchased from ebay. I still however, clearly needed a WFC soundwave base figure for Blaster but this bumblebee acquisition presented firstly, a head and then the opportunity to do something a little different with the chest panel. He also gave me a body replacement for classics cliff jumper (custom 2) and the opportunity to customise henkei Megatron with a rear mounted gun barrel (to add a bit more G1 flavour). I will post pics of these other 2 customs on separate threads but they were much more straight forward than this Blaster custom....kind of....Megatron was a bit tricky.

I can admit I made plenty of errors along the way with this figure and got myself into some tight spots where i thought i wasn't going to be able to complete it. But, I got there in the end. Hope you like it.

Dude, that is flippin fantastic! I have to assume you've painted other things before because that looks too good for the first time a guy sat down with a brush. I love that chest piece.

Thanks very much for the comments guys. Really appreciate the feedback.
This figure was big challenge and took me a while to complete. I probably did overpaint and that's a lesson learned for the next time. Also, I need to spend more time thinking about sanding down touch points and using a soldering iron to remove pins.
I actually broke both of the figures arms trying to get the wrist pins out...doh! That was the point where I nearly gave up. But, I figured out a way to fix them and it worked a treat.

You did a wonderful job mate :)
Every figure/custom I think you learn something little to take to the next adventure.
I sometimes feel like giving up :)  Then after a little break you get a new energy.
Looking forward to seeing more from you. Great work.
