They spray my neighborhood all the time.

Best thing to do is wear mosquito repellent when outside and stay inside at dusk and dawn when they are most active.

WNV shouldn't be a lethal problem for an adult with a healthy immune system. Children, old people, HIV or cancer sufferers should definately take care.

A few horses and a elderly man have died in the few past years due to West Nile. I have right now not lying 10 + mosquito bites on me. I was working in the woods yesterday and today I got about 7 bites yesterday so I decided to wear pants instead of shorts yet they still bit me through my pants I guess :(

    Mosquitos are vicious little #$%^ers.

How can you protect yourself? deet! The stronger the better. I wore a 30% deet spray when I went golfing last week, and I didn't get bit once.

The Off! Active pump spray is what I use. I hate the compressed sprays, they seem to smell a lot worse.

I've just come back from Greece, and as always I got bitten to shreds.

Its like they have a party when I arrive ('Look, Chinese buffet is back in town!')

Urgh. Kill all mosquitoes is what I say.

Just do like everyone's said. Bug spray and intelligence are your best two allies.

And most towns spray for mosquitos every year anyways. I know that 2 or 3 local tows that have always had mosquito issues that have sprayed for at least the last 10 years.

Am I glad that I'm a natural mosquito repellant. Never got bitten in the last 5 years, while the rest of my family's a walking buffet. :D

I never anything to keep them assholes from biting me, so I usually have several bites on me during the summer. I'm not really scared about getting WNV, they've never reported it getting into my area.

My horse died of West Nile (well actually we put him to sleep cause of the neurological(sp?) damage) on Monday. West Nile is serious down here.
