    Ouch. Thats gotta smart.

Now he's gonna have to go on the run, and the US government has to get Tommy Lee Jones to hunt him down, while Snipes travels across the country getting character references from people he knows.

'There's only one place he could be going... his mothers!'

Did Keifer Sutherland serve his entire time? I know Lindsey Lohan didn't, nor did Paris Hilton.

Snipes sentence is much harsher than any other recent celebrity incarceration though. He might have to do the whole sentence.

Almost everyone that goes to jail for tax evasion gets their sentence reduced for good behavior. Provided he doesn't kill anyone, he'll serve half of it at the most. Probably closer to 2 years since he's Wesley Snipes and wants to be the "big dog."

This reminds me, my dad's a tax cheat. I wonder if the IRS has any rewards for turning someone over?

I'm pretty sure Keifter did serve his time. I think he had to serve a year.

Just goes to show kids, pay your taxes, or the IRS will smash you with a briefcase.

I bet the judge is a vampire..

Actually, screw Snipes. I like him as an actor (loved all three blades, so, there) but these celebrities who think they are better than everyone else need to be locked up!

As for being a celeb, heck my father didn't pay taxes for over 12 years, and they just stuck him with a monthly payment plan.

I beleive this is just a way to get back at the celebs who disaproved of the war.

I doubt that, tax authorities are only marginally less machiavellian then intellegence services in most rich western nations and theres nothing they like more then making an example of rich evaders.
