Went on a DS Spree this week. No DS Lite for me though.

    But I did pick up:

    New Super Mario Bros.
Lost in Blue (this game fucking ROCKS)
    Animal Crossing
    Advance Wars
Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time
    Ultimate Spider-Man

Now, I've had my DS for a year, and I'm just finally buying game for the fucker :lol

Before the binge, I hadn't bought a game since Nintendogs came out. (which I haven't touched in 8 months).

    Mario 64
    Wario Ware
    Nintendogs

Those were the only DS games I've had. Why didn't someone tell me there were some really good games out there?

Here's what's on my "To Get" list:

    Mario Kart
    Harvest Moon
    Trauma Center: Under the Knife
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (Which I've been searching for months to find)
    Trace Memory
    Tetris DS

Any imput on the titles listed above? Or the one's I recently bought? Haven't had much time with the others I bought, invested most of the time on Lost in Blue.

Is Mario 64 basically a port of the N64 game?

it's a souped-up port. some of the additions are better graphics, 3 new playable characters, a 36 mini-game "rec room", and 30 new stars to collect. There's also a 2-player "battle mode" of sorts.

between all the existing DS titles that I'm just getting started with, the upcoming DS stuff for this year AND the new Bit Generation line of 8-bit GBA titles coming out in Japan next month, there are more games I want for my DS than all of the three new consoles. Combined.

Phoenix Wright is supposed to be getting a new shipment to hit stores this week

myself, I'm going to get a DS Lite tonight and probably start off with NSMB, with Advance Wars and Castlevania on my short list for the future, and if I see it anywhere Phoenix Wright

Huh? I hadn't heard this. What is it?

EDIT: Nevermind, did some research. This sounds really interesting.

Because not everyone likes that psuedo RPG style that Castlevania has degenerated to over the last few years.

Oh, how I long for the days of Castelvania 3 style gameplay.

The only Castlevania game I've really enjoyed was Castlevania 2 for the NES.

You should add Meteos to your list.

Seconded. Also, if you like Bejeweled, Zoo Keeper is basically that ... with ugly zoo animals. However, stylus input for that style of game kicks ass. Prices should be pretty cheap by now.

Seconded. Castlevania DS (and the last two GBA games) are outstanding.

NEW Super Mario Bros. ROCKS; it's easy to finish up though, but the replay value alone is well worth it, if I had friends to go multiplayer with I'd probably dig the Vs. system as well.

Mario & Luigi Partners in Time is impressive; I haven't played as much of it yet because I got sidetracked by the GBA counterpart I recently picked up, but in all honesty it looks stellar.

If you dig platformers and Mario I'd say add Super Princess Peach to your list; it may be relatively easy and junk, but it's a fun addictive game and the mini-games included are addictive as all hell. Plus come on; Peach is the main heroine. :thumb

A lot of those games on your list are must buys for me too; though not all, Sonic Rush is also an interesting looking game, if you happen to be a fan of the blue blur.
I really don't know if I can reccomend anything else; it's pretty crazy though when the hand held offers more games on the To Buy list then any Consoles... Then again I've always found a strong desire for tons of portable titles rather then the console stuff.

Anyway; great haul dude, I sure wish I could snag a ton of games in one hit like that, well maybe I'll be able to soon. :D

What happened to the post I made in this thread? Did some overzealous mod delete it without telling me or something?

    Maybe the boards went nuts?

I don't remember what I said precisely, but I do recall reccommending Super Princess Peach. I also mentioned the fact that she is a female hero, perhaps the boards automaticaly erase threads with that term despite the fact that it has different meanings; ahem H E R O I N E that is. :(

I am currently playing Castlevania. I am really enjoying it so far. Best Castlevania game I have ever played.

Phoenix Wright is fun, but it gets a bit tedious reading wise, and it is too linear.

Is Metroid a side scroller? If it's similar to the original NES Metroid (Only great Metroid game) I'd look into it. If it's one of those crappy shooters like the Gamecube Metroid, I wouldn't touch it with a 40ft pole.

It looks like Gamecube Metroid, but pointing the gun with the stylus is a fun and unique experience. I haven't played it much myself yet, but it seems more linear than the gamecube version. Also, online deathmatch can be fun.
