With the recent news of the Hartman's auctionning off their G2 Protectobots, something caught my attention... Jon's eBay handle, "elrich".

I recently got a MOSC Car Robots Wrecker Hook from him, but didn't realize who he was. My PayPal log confirmed it was Jon. Now this may seem trivial to some, but I find it pretty cool that I bought from Jon Hartman the Car Robot item I needed to complete my CR collection.

I own a piece of TF history!

...and ruined it when I opened it up to display it :lol

    :lol

Speaking of CR I need to complete that collection myself. Other than G1 its the closest collection I have to being complete... actually it might be closer. I only need Gel-Shark, Wrecker-hook and Indy-heat and the clear car brothers set.

Jon Hartman is one of the people who created the original Botcon, along with his brother Karl. Jon and Karl have been known for years as some of the hardest of hardcore collectors. Combined, they probably had one of, if not the largest straight Transformers collections in the fandom.

:lol  Yeah, I didn't realize it was their handle either until I bought the unreleased G2 Autorollers (Launcher & Jetter) and the Green Flipchanger indy car from them :)  It's too bad they seem to be selling off a lot of things, but I remember a few years back when Artfire sold his collection...life happens and sometimes priorities change because of it :)

That Artfire guy was just crazy. He bought stuff just to flaunt the fact that he could buy it. I remember the whole debacle of him buying 50 Black Megatron reissues because he could. Ah...those were the good ole days.

I bought a MISB JBW Megatron from Jon last summer. I thought it was pretty cool to be dealing with one of the Hartmans, too.:D

Ripped the sucker open as soon as he arrived.:lol
