And WOW, is anybody else's this bad? I LOVE the colors, I really enjoy the mold...but man I am wondering if I just got a bad version or if the mold is already pretty much toast! Excess plastic...I can pretty much tell you where every piece is connected to it's mold sprue...especially on the dragon head where I had to trim a 1/8" stem of plastic off! Lots of pieces just don't fit right. He has large gaps where the plastic parts are supposed to meet. It's like a bad KO figure. Even the paint aps are wonky I am going to keep my eyes peeled and hope for a better one (In which case my son gets this one ). Just wondering for those who have him already if there's were as bad...
Ouch that sounds bad!!!!!! I have my eyes open for one but am still on the fence about it. I am going to wait till other people give their reviews befor I pick one up. If they are all like your then I will pass. I am still proud of my original Scourge and looks like he wont have a twin anytime soon.
Yellow trim on the face all wonky... Wing tip paint chipped right out of the box, silver paint on shoulder marbled... The details on the bottom of the dragon heads are jagged and rough...don't know how well it translates on the pic. More bad paint on the leg. This is all how it came out of the box! The side parts are jagged and sharp...and quite the gaps between them and the main body... Check out all the places the sprues hold the piece into the mold. It just looks unfinished. This is also post dragon head surgery to remove all the excess plastic. Both top and bottom had large chunks!
Haven't seem a Cryo Scourge yet, but I'll be sure to look extra careful at him before I pick one up. My regular Scourge though has two left hands, what's up with this mold and QC?
ooo thats not kool man, what were they thinking when they realeased him? they should have check for these inperfections tut tut hasbro
Yep, I passed on four of them yesterday due to them either having sloppy or scratched paint apps. Sigh.. such an awesome toy otherwise. I'd say that him back but we all know the store will just put it back on the shelf for some other poor sap to buy.
Thanks for the heads up and sorry to hear about yours. From reading around it sounds like they're all like this. May have to keep him sealed, but damn that's going to be hard when Im going to want to pose him next to RID Cryotek. He looks decent at first glance, then all those trims stick out like crazy. Your camera takes excellent pics btw, you should take more
That's a shame Having no money now might be fortunate after all. I still like the colour a lot, though, so I think I'll pick one up eventually one day.
