Well, here is my first piece of evidence that WFC and PRIME share a common thread- CYBETRON itself.

So there might be something to HASBRO's shared continuity thing after all.

Now, WFC and EXODUS were supposed to be the same story- a be all end all origins story for TRANSFORMERS.

And we all know that High Moon molded WFC around G1... and HASBRO knew and was o.k. with that. So therefore, these origins might be desined to be shared among different continuities- even continuities that contradict each other (like WFC and PRIME)... or even continuity families like G1 toon, G1 US comic, G1 UK comic, AHM, WFC.

Now- here's a stretch- if G1, EXODUS, WFC and now PRIME are all shared... would it sit well with others if PRIME was a diferent extension of G1 (different continuity family)... that the cast of PRIME might be those of PROJECT Generation-One? Could there be an ARK in the continuity of PRIME?

Or are the shared Cybertrons a mere coincidence?

**edit** well, they aren't carbon copies... there are more similarities than differences tho. Could the animators of PRIME have taken a short cut and Photoshopped WFC's Cybertron rather then spend the time modeling something for a real quick cut?

nope, it's the same exact model.

And remember Prime takes Place in the same Universe as War For Cybertron. or was Hasbro lying to us.

And do you believe Takara when they say that ALL the different shows share the same continuity?

    *********

I'm not afraid of saying that HASBRO is full of crap- and it's pretty easy thing to say with the continuity differences.

i think its actually the same Cybertron seen in the little high moon clip [just before it transforms into the high moon logo]

cant find any pics tho but im pretty sure

and i lol at those of you who think its within the same continuity. thats why starscream [who made friggen dark energon] and megatron [who ALREADY infused himself with dark energon] magically find it and act all wide eyed like they've never seen it before

dark energon doesnt even have the same effect on things like it did in WFC

Yeah, I know- but remember: if HASBRO said that the sky was brown and not blue, many of these same people would go around thinking that it ws brown.

That doesn't really count, I mean, Animated's first scene was footage of G1, but Animated SURE AS HELL isn't in continuity with G1.

It's probably just based on the same Cybertron design Hasbro gives around.

maybe they just wanted to base it off WFC so it fits in rather than finishes/completes or continues it.

The official statement from Hasbro is that WFC and Prime share continuity. Anything else is just stubborn personal canon.

This situation is kind of like the die-hard George Lucas fans who take his word as gold, even though the dude forgot half of the shit he did and riddled his new movies with contradictions (not to mention completely destroyed the awesome expanded universe continuity). Hasbro said it's the same continuity because they want to cross sell the show with the game, it's simple marketing and it doesn't matter to Hasbro if they don't mesh with each other at all because they want to sell both products.

No, this situation is kind of like a group of rabid fans choosing to believe one interpretation of the events over an another because it allows them to complain about something that's easily explained.

But if you could explain it, then you wouldn't get the chance to complain about the show, Hasbro, etc.

Heh Then blame High Moon for thinking G1 prequel while Orci and Kurtzman do their own thing.

Its called discontinuity. What Hasbro marketing is saying and the story of various media is non sequitur.

I think there's an even better image from the WFC game that's 1 on 1 on the Prime Cybertron.

Sounds like just a way to save time for me, nothing else.
