On BBTS, there are some weird names that I have no idea what they mean. It says a better description will be added when a better description is available, but I don't think it's possible to translate such a bad romanization. It's Deszaras all over again!

    The two names are:

    Hoilgaru
    Autobot Tobura

What do you think they mean?

If you say Hoilgaru with the most intensely fake Japanese accent you have, you might get something that sounds like Wheelcar.

I preordered them both under the assumption that one or the other was Wheeljack.

Brand new names for Drift and Straxus? That's my best guess. They're not existing Japanese TF names.

Nope. Drift and Straxus already have assigned numbers, UN-08 and UN-10.

Oh. What're "Hoilgaru" and "Tobura"s numbers?

Turning on my Japanese (it's been so long since high school), "Hoilgaru" probably is Wheeljack. Which I don't quite get because his Japanese name has always been... Wheeljack. Downshift's name in Super Link was Wheeljack.

Number 16 is Autobot Tobura, 19 is Holigaru.

Tobura sounds like the English "Turbo" which is Tracks' prefix in the Generations version.

Okay, that means Tobura is Tracks.

preordered about 10. Hoping to see their color schemes to make my ultimate decision as I'd like to stick w/ the cheaper Hasbro option, but will probably end up with mostly Henkei

I wouldn't think so since this listings on BBTS include:

    UN-13 Autobot Tracks
    UN-16 Autobot Tobura

The thing is, most of the things you are suggesting are listed under their own names. Wheeljack and "Hoilgaru" (Wheelcar as one said), are under different names. Tobura and Tracks are under different names. Who are these guys?

Why what? I preordered about 10 different United figs to "reserve them" while I wait to see what they and their US counterparts look like. I suppose it looks like I was saying I preordered about 10 of the two figs mentioned in fp?

Obviously duplicates. BBTS will have to merge the listings. Except there isn't one that reads "Wheeljack" yet.

The unique numbering suggests otherwise, for Toruba at least.

And BBTS has a few discrepencies between their numbers and the preorder sheet from the frontpage. So who the hell knows.

Okay. For one, "turbo" would be rendered as "taabo" or "Tabo" if you're really bad at romanizing katakana. BBTS is REALLY bad at it, and my friend who I defer to always for katakana I can't puzzle out myself notes that the katakana reading for what BBTS has as "Autobot Tobura" would be more sensibly read as "Autobot Blurr", since the "bura" part most likely has an extending line, taking what would be "bra" and making "blur".

His best guess with Hoilgaru would be to read it as "Wheelgar", which has me scratching my head unless somebody REALLY screwed up the original reading somehow.

I really wished the actually, Japanese listings were listed because then, I could probably understand it. For the record, in Japanese "Wheeljack" is pronounced "Hoilu-jakku" while "Tracks" is pronounced "Torakkusu".

:lol  Jesus, it's like someone called Japan on a call phone while driving through a tunnel and jotted down what they were told while steering with their knees.
