    If its following a 'laser beam on a target' wouldn't that make it laser guided instead of 'self-guided'?

    Interesting find, I guess people in the military or cops don't need to spend 3-6 weeks learning target practice anymore.

    You do have a point. But you have to factor in the point that a human being isn't a building. Said human is gonna move. The bullet needs the laser to follow the moving target. I don't think they mentioned that in the article.
