dang, I wish I were going, especially now! I actually won a radio contest in high school and got to meet Weird Al haha.

 

don't get your hopes up to high yet though, it hasn't been confirmed that he'll be performing.

Would make sense, but still, we don't know yet for sure.

I am bringing Wreck-Gar and the framed ticket and Weird-Al "money" from his show here last July 4th. Definitely psyched about this.

 

You do have a point. Though, I would like to know, if he does perform, along with Stan Bush and Vince DiCola, will we even be allowed to record the concert? Or, will Botcon themselves record it, and make DVDs of the concert be available for purchase? An event like this really only does happen once in a lifetime, and, if all three do perform, then a recording must be preserved in some way. It would be a great injustice otherwise. Just think of all the memories that such a concert would bring!

If Botcon does sell DVDs of the concert though, it would generate money for the convention, and for the three performers too, so, that would make sense to me.

So, will we be allowed to record the concert, or, will Botcon be offering a DVD recording for sale? I hope we find out!

I can't wait!

This Botcon is going to give attendees a lot of memories; ones I'm certain people will treasure for the rest of their lives. That's why I think it's so important that this event is preserved, either by us being allowed to record it, or by Botcon having professionals record DVDs to sell.  

Attendees aren't the only people who could benefit from this. Fans and collectors who can't afford, or are unable, to attend the convention could see the concert as well; just make a DVD available for purchase through the Club's site.  

 

My word, of all the Botcons to miss........I'm such a huge fan of his

I've been wanting to see Al in concert for years. I hope he brings along his 'Stupid' band (as in 'Dare to be Stupid') !!

 

cant wait. I have to dig up my custom DVD case I made back in 1999 for my VCD version of the animated movie. I was working in a theater at Univ. of arizona and Eric Idle was performing his monty python sketch. So I had him autograph my TF insert. Now I can get Weird Al to add to that. I will also have him sign my Ani. Wreck Gar figure.

 

Now I'll have to fax my add-on for the Paramount night.
