Sometimes WJ goes for a (too) small first batch, but then delivers.

I don't know, is there some WJ product corrently sold out? It looks like they produce a fair amount of copies and re-releases of everything... And they do a lot of repaints too...

For a $100 bot the only thing I don't like is that the motorized tank doesn't have have a motorized turret that swivels around like the OG. Why doesn't it swivel?! Pew pew pew! It should also walk and do my dishes.

Just do your dishes? For the price tag as high as $150, WJ better make it a motorized sex robot.

Totally serious, the first time I saw the motorized tank in action the first thing I thought to myself was 'damn I wish they had made it so the turret turned as well.' Yeah, I'm spoiled. But I still think that was a missed opportunity on an otherwise amazing looking toy.

The rotating turret was one of the things I found silly about the G1 toy. This way you can have the turret point away from the launch pad, so as the tank goes around it is always facing out.

Man, I'm getting Gabriel. But for $140, this whole Christmas tree Omega concept is growing on me. "What do you mean it's not Christmas-ey?! I put a red bow on it!"

WJ is known for tweaking their figures and changing the finish (look at their Meg) till the last minute, so there's plenty of time for fan's feedback (even if, of course, the main sculpt is done).

So, what's your opinion at this point of the development?
Do you like this glossy finish? Do you prefer the matte finish like Terminus' one? Or something in between like Gabriel?
Do you like the paint apps and tampos?

The only tampos I don't care for tend to be English language on a Cybertronian figure, so stuff like the giant word 'TANK' on his shoulders. Something more alien or pictographic would suit better IMO.

Also still hoping for an alternate, smaller tank turret piece that could be swapped in to make tank mode more proportional, but I know that's pretty far-fetched :lol

Agreed, I could do without words and warnings... While other tampos look good.

Now that I see it, even the face could look better with a matte finish... But all the plastic is a bit too shiny.

But you can't beat the play value of this thing :)

I agree the words in English don't make a lot of sense for a Transformer without an Earth based alt mode. If it bugs me in person I suppose I can take them off. Otherwise fine. It would be nice if it came with both clear and orange tint visor.

I like the structural girder look that the sub-skeleton has, which peeks out from under the armour plates. It helps to give it a sense of scale and solidity. For those who paint and customise their transformers, it will provide a great canvas.

Also, it looks like it has rubber grips under the feet. I like it when they do that.
