What sites do you guys use to keep up with the world of web design and image manipulation? I'm looking for pretty much anything - sites that talk about new stuff, design trends, message boards, blogs, etc. Basically anything you find helpful.

    Thanks!

    For pure DESIGN:

Zengarden has some beautiful CSS ideas http://www.csszengarden.com/

for coding, look at MSDN and the MS forums for news on .net2 and other goodies. now in handy RSS! http://www.msdn.net/webservices/rss.xml

W3C's main site is where you should be looking for all your XHTML and CSS 2.0 rules. http://www.w3.org/

and generally to see whats hot and whats not, browse the big sites. Amazon, BBC, Radiotimes, Craigslist... all these guys have had changes in the last few months. It's all about keeping your ear to the ground.

http://www.cssbeauty.com/ features some of the best designed sites on the internet. Their gallery features 16 or more sites every month. Great stuff.

Not at all. My office is beginning the process of a website redesign and my boss wants to "be on the cutting edge, not the bleeding edge" and he expects me to do a lot of research. I've made a proposal, but he wants to see some research. It's just another case of non-technical people trying to make technical decisions.

    Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
