Wow, I feel really backwards now.

I was born in 90 and I knew pretty much all the historical and classic pop-culture on this list but almost none of the things that are actually relavant/commonplace to my generation.

Though I suppose it helps that I have much older parents than most people and they done learned me about all the important world stuff from the dinosaur ages.

Neat list, thanks for sharing! ^_^

That is not being dumb, everything written their is nothing you have to do with in your daily life and so you never will come to the idea that it was different before, until someone tells you. And how should you care for something you never knew it existed.

By the way: Many points of the list I don't know either and I'm born in 1981.

    Yeah, yeah, generations are different.

Big whoop. Text may indeed be faster, but email still allows me a far higher level of information transfer and detail, which I personally prefer. Yet I no longer own any phones with cords.

On the other hand, there's little excuse for some of the "pure ignorance" ones like not knowing who Beethoven was or the "we've always this-or-that" ones. The Russians and space station one? I don't care what sort of a drooling imbecile you are, a lack of awareness of the Cold War is inexcusable due to its deep historical importance in shaping the world today, less than 3 decades after it ended.

I was born the year the Vietnam War ended and I sure as shit knew what the hell it was as a kid. It is indicative of a lack of interest in the world outside one's immediate sphere to ever believe any trend or item has "always" been as it is right now.

That's the only issue I take with the list. If any kid sincerely believed that, I'd be concerned.

If you live in an area with frequent power outages, it's a good thing to have a corded phone, at least that puppy will still work!! My cell phone usually needs charging :lol

    wow I now feel old.
...of course some of the 20ish year olds I work with have told recently that I'm old, and why?? I'd rather have a lengthy conversation by CALLING people when texting is faster, and easer. You know never mind the fact that I can take care of a conversation in less that 5 min that it could have taken an hour or better worth of text, send, read reply,read,reply.......wait for response, and go back to step one

I know cursive, I've just never had to use it other then writing my signature sometimes.

But #12 is wtf...Pretty much everybody in my school loves Clint Eastwood, and pretty much everybody in my school would love to disagree.
