I found this at a Fred Meyer in Vancouver, Washington. The stripes on the hood are much more accurate on this variant, unlike the thin lines found on the original. The boxed picture is the variant, and the loose picture is the original from megatroptimus's review.
Strange that it's a variant. I've had it for awhile now. I assumed it always had the thicker black strips on the hood. I never knew there was an earlier version that didn't. All the weaponizer BB's I've seen and still see, have the thick stripes on the hood.
I dont know if anyone lives in Nj but I saw the same toh at a Walmart in Jersey City and a Kmart in Kearny.
I can honestly say that I've never paid any attention after I got the initial run. Might be something that's been around awhile now.
I do not think this is a new find. I bought one of these at Kmart back in August, I also live in Washington.
So just by adding a thicker line of paint will warrant some of you to buy this figure?! o_0 Funny how I haven't read any "I refuse to buy this guy since the paint stripe is so small" complaints before. lol The three reviews that I've watched for this figure (Optibotimus, Peaugh, and MisterFanWank) all had the thin striped version...so I'm guessing that this change happened somewhat recently.
Well crap! Guess I'll have to get me one of these now even though I already have the other one plus with these just being 30 and my love for Bee I can't resist.
I saw this variant when I was in Beijing, I did not get one because my luggage was already heavy, hehe. Might get it when it sees local release.
