    YouTube - Live aid - 1985 Usa For Africa - We Are The World

    this song was long forgotten until the death of micheal jackson, which VH1 classics played it at least every hour, and the amount of talent in it is just outstanding. the who's who of singers in the 80's got together for this cause. it showed that if we work together we can truely help.....it is sad that singers these days don't do stuff like this....

    Those were good times when it came out, everyone was in that video.
    It had a pretty good impact at the time, would be hard to do these days.

    We had to sing that constantly in the (mandatory) choir classes when I was in elementary school and I've developed a deep, lifelong hatred of the song because of it. Doesn't help that it's preachy and saccharine as hell.
